ASUS TM260 mATX Mini Tower Case WHITE/SILVER Front USB Audio 92MM Rear Fan with 300W PSU
Cons:HD will cover RAM/ Power slots, Molded power/led plug, rear fan loud.
Pros:Attractive, cheap w/PS. Front panel comes off easy, compact. |
Decent value, but a couple design flaw REALLY make this case a caveat-emptor purchase.Pro Detail:- The chassis is compact and attractive, pearl white finish on the case resists dirt and looks sharp. Front panel is very easy to remove and the clean the stealth covers works well.- Cheap, since it includes a Cheap ASUS-brand 300W PS 26A 12V powersupply. Nothing quality, but for the target segment it saves a few bucks on a cheap-cheap lowest cost build. No 6-pin plug. (much more attractive case though)- Cables are properly lengthed and clean.- PCIe slot (only) has cover, not punch-plate. Nice touch.- Easy to align optical and card reader drives. - 92mm rear fan mountCons Detail:- Single, molded front panel LED/switch plug follows an older standard, but cannot be used with anything but. I'm forced to splice my own single plug ends onto this to get it to work with my ironically ASUS mobo. Fail.- Only one SATA plug- HD rails are in middle, not bottom (has metal for it, no holes) meaning your HD might interfere with your Power plug or RAM slots.- 80MM included fan is std sleeve-bearing cheap loud model. For $20-40 more you can get a much better case/PS in the Antec NSK 3480. But this serves a need. Wish it had a beta test with end-users though. Some pretty big fail design in this one.
