ASUS U30JC-A1 13.3" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit NoteBook
Cons:
A bit heavyGlossy screen!Trackpad not very precise
Pros: Good performance for the sizenVidia Optimus (need I say more?)Great look (if that's important to you!) |
After a few days of use, I would say that this is a pretty good laptop for the price. I have a 15 inches HP laptop for work and it now feels very heavy and clunky!! The Asus is a very nice looking piece of tech, the aluminum finnish is beautiful, and the overall feeling is great, I'm impressed with the quality! I love it!Performance wise, it's very good, and battery life is great in battery saving mode (almost 7 hours). Put it to performance mode and you still get about 3 hours of autonomy! I used it with Adobe Lightroom and it performs very well, and it's light enough to bring it to a photoshoot to show early work to clients...The main drawback is the screen. First, it's a glossy one, not good for me, and I will have to get used to those reflections. And the angle of view is not very good. I was expecting that, so there's no surprise there. I will not be using it for serious Photoshop work though, so it's still good, but could be a lot better. I would have gladly paid 100$ more for better quality. So, I'm very happy with this one, I think it's one of the best 13 inches laptops out there (considering the price). Would recommend it without hesitation (if you can live with the glossy screen). I will try to update my review in a few weeks...
