ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:Shipping.

Pros:144hz, Pricing, Size.
Comment:
Great monitor for the price, haven't found a monitor that supports 144hz for their refresh rate, other than an Acer that is still similar in price. I believe it is $250 instead of around $270 but doesn't have the same features as this one presented now. I'm giving this review 5/5 stars because I love it, only complaint I have is not with NCIX. That's why I give this review all it deserves, I'm upset with UPS for not delivering on time. I chose and paid for 2-5 day shipping, and within 2 days, NCIX has shipped the item to UPS, which is outstanding, but UPS kept delaying the date of my order for 1-2 days extra which may not sound like a big idea, but the fact that I paid for the extra shipping instead of the original which would be expected to be off. Anyways, this monitor is outstanding, loving it. I most definitely will be ordering more things from this website.

Cons:there is a halo shape gradient on the screen. I took screen shot if its coming from gpu, but its coming from the monitor. here is the picturehttp://imgur.com/X1zfoEY

Pros:nice response time for gaming and smooth window experience
Comment:
Also during benchmark loud buzzing noise on built in speakers even though they active, I can hear it while I am using noise canceling headphones. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-03-15 11:24 PM

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:have to adjust the colour,G-sync installation voids warrenty

Pros:144hz 1ms Price Optional G-sync installation
Comment:
Compare to mine old Insiginia 24inch monitor which is a 60hz monitor. this actually makes a lot of difference when you are running a game with more than 60 FPS and with this monitor everything will be running smooth as it should be. We can see more than 60hz until you have this monitor to show you what 144hz is like. Make sure to adjust the colour. Get it off on Ncix outlet

Cons:A bit too bright as well as the colors aren't that great, needs a bit of adjustingA bit pricey

Pros:144HzExtremely smoother than 60HzCan be adjusted, higher, lower, to the sides, even vertical

Feels much more smoother when playing games it really helps a lot! Wish I could get more monitors but it's a bit pricey, however still good price against 120Hz monitors.

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:-colors are a little quirky, it'll also seem too bright when you first hook it up. -the little logo on the stand? (just a pet peeve sorry)

Pros:-less lag during gaming for sure, it's really remarkable how much you're missing at 60HZ-has 3d but that's pretty irrelevant I suppose -the monitor stand is fully workable to any height or angle
Comment:
It's currently the only G-sync moddable monitor (with a $200 kit) monitor although it will void your warranty. I'd love to take advantage of it, but the G-sync/Free-sync monitors should be coming sometime soon anyways. Asus already has a 27" 1440p to come out shortly I believe. Really looking forward to when stutter and tearing are hopefully a thing of the past, and right now 144hz seems to get you about as close to that soon-to-be reality as you can get.

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:-seems overly bright at first but change your settings it should be alright-getting used to the full refresh rate may take some getting used to (it will be set at 60hz by default)

Pros:-going from 60hz to 144hz is amazing, your gaming will be joyous and you will realize how much you were missing (no joke) -seemingly much less lag and tearing as well -stand rotates and extends in every which possible way -'nvidia 3d vision' although I don't plan on ever using it
Comment:
0 dead pixel perfect condition quite happy with everything $299 free ship was a good deal Probably the best you can do at 24" before g-sync or free-sync are out (I really want either), unfortunately without a $200 mod, switching video cards (and voiding my warranty) I can't take advantage of g-sync yet. Waiting for the high refresh g-synce/free sync monitors to hit the market and this will do fine until then.

This is a must have for fps gaming. 144hz is a huge difference coming from 60hz monitor. when you swipe your mouse across the mouse pad you can see that the cursor does not skip much.

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:colours kind of suck

Pros:nice looks, fast refresh
Comment:
There's something odd about the colours with this, and the viewing angle has to be perfect, you need to be slightly lower than centre. The sound sucks on it but nobody that wants a monitor for gaming uses the stock speakers.. and if you do, get a better job.HDMI doesn't put out 144hz, so you have to use DVI or displayport. So if you use a surround receiver thru HDMI, use the DVI cord to the monitor and HDMI for surround to the amp. My GTX 780 has the option, which then says it's running dual monitors but just set it to duplicate display with the VG248 as the desktop display and you're all good for setting the refresh to 144hz in the nvidia control panel.Haven't tested 3d yet but 3d can't be displayed at 144hz so it's one or the other. Waiting for g-sync modules to be more readily available to really test the limits of this screen but it's got potential. I give it 3 stars for the speed being awesome, but the colours being pretty awful.

Cons:Nothing I could think of

Pros:1ms144 hzFlexible
Comment:
Looks lovely and performs great! I would buy this monitor again if I were to build a second desktop. Slight buzzing noise when turning up the volume of the monitor. Not sure if that's just my monitor or every monitor. It has built in stereo speakers which I do appreciate them for having that. The speakers aren't the best but it's just their. Other than that I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a high quality monitor!

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:Color...built in speakers (don't bother)

Pros:Gaming Reticle, 144Mhz, Swivel, 1080p, Brightness, Picture Quality.
Comment:
I upgraded from a 720p monitor to this monitor and I LOVE IT, this Monitor is by far probably thee best monitor I will have for my setup unless I have enough $$$ to grab a 4K monitor. The gaming reticle is nice when playing FPS's, my only issue I have with it is the color, its frustrating trying to get it just the way you want it. There are numerous presets which are nice to have on picture, speakers are built in but nothing to say much about (as with most monitor speakers). The Swivel on this monitor is great for positioning, I would recommend this to a friend anyday over any other in this price range.

Pros:Nice value on great specced display; 144hz is nice; nice color reproduction; good options to fine tune performance

I have purchased several of these units for my office and they are used for graphical production in some cases. These displays do not disappoint. The specs are really great for the price and I would venture to say this is one of the best 24" displays you can get right now sub $300.I have purchased several and not one of them has experienced any problems, so there's that.. clearly the QA on these has been done.I also really like (as do my users) that they travel up and down, tilt easily, and can go portrait or landscape.. awesome.Asus wins with this monitor. Great stuff!!

ASUS VG248QE 24IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DisplayPort DVI-D
Cons:Default colour profiles washed out - need to follow windows Wizard to get it to look good.

Pros:Swivel and height stand, thin bezel, 144hz is amazing
Comment:
I love 144hz refresh rate. Going to LCD's from CRT's a while back seemed like a step back in image quality and I eventually became used to 60hz, but now that I'm using a 144hz display again, I LOVE it and will never switch back to 60hz now that these monitors are affordable. Moving your mouse cursor or windows around on a 60hz monitor is like going to a rave party (lots of flashing lol) vs the smooth motion of 144hz.Monitor is also light and the stand is great. So stoked that I bought it!

I just received my monitor today and already can't stop playing with it. It seems the more I configure it to my likings the more I am satisfied with my choice. Bf3 and CS are much more fluid and will no doubt help with my game.
