ASUS VN247H-P 23.6IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI-D D-Sub
Cons:Blacks not great for movies for example, but to be expected, can't have it all. Stand is slightly wobbly, but for how thin it is, it does a good job.
Pros:Great for everyday tasks and gaming so far. Bezel thickness is awesome even if their is a slight inset where there are no pixels. Colors seem to be pretty good, not too much gradation. The HD? audio headphone jack is nice, since my computer doesn't have one. No dead pixels. |

ASUS VN247H-P 23.6IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI-D D-Sub
Cons:-I have yet to own a ASUS monitor that has good colour reproduction.
Pros:-Amazing thin bezel, works great for surround/eyefinity!-Price is pretty good-Can get very nice blacks, little blacklight bleed Comment:
These are simply amazing looking side by side for surround gaming, but I fought with my last ASUS LED monitors to calibrate them and I had to have darks that were too dark and kind of "fake." I spent 5 hours trying to calibrate these today and the best I could get is to either go with the method from my old monitors or go deal with having this "grey" graininess over the screen. In the past, I've owned 23" Samsung at a $220 price point and image quality is much better. That's really the only drawback (although very frustrating for me). |

ASUS VN247H-P 23.6IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI-D D-Sub
Cons:Nothing in particular
Pros:Large, clear, multiple inputs, thin trim, nice looking, matte screen Comment:
I picked up this screen with the intention of purchasing one or two more in the future. The picture is as clear as you can expect from a 1080p LED backlit monitor. What I really liked was that the screen is not glossy, so glare isn't an issue. Also, the trim is extremely thin so there's no wasted space. Putting 2 or 3 of these side by side, the trim wouldn't intrude very much and that's perfect for multi-monitor setups. |

ASUS VN247H-P 23.6IN Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor 1920x1080 1MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI-D D-Sub
Cons:None to really complain about. Though - I guess I wish they used some type of metallic material to boost the aesthetics. The back of the monitor could slim down a bit more.
Pros:Very big and close to borderless. I can see myself upgrading to dual or triple monitor set up with this screen. Many inputs for flexibility. Fast response time. Comment:
I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a well-priced 23.6 monitor or planning to dual or triple screen set up. |
Really impressed by the monitor after calibrating it to my likeness, I was about to send it back initially.Use "standard" or "gaming" splendid modes. It was way too bright, but mostly the vibrance was just ugly, some primary colors were just blown out, almost neon. Far Cry 3 looked cartoony, and yellowish. The key is to turn saturation down on the monitor a couple points, and about -2 off the digital vibrance from the nVidia control panel. Then reduce the brightness and contrast a good amount. It's easy to switch between game and standard anyways, so I've adjusted each accordingly.
