ASUS Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 DVI HDMI Motherboard
Cons:Multiple BSODs.
Pros:Good temperature outputs. Comment:
I know, ASUS usually makes good products, but this was not the case this time; probably a defective unit. I purchased this MB for a monster i7 build but had to RMA it. It had multiple BSODs and all of them related to USB connections. USB devices were (and still are) fully functional on other computers. Since I had to RMA it, I can't give it more than 1 star, sorry. |

ASUS Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 DVI HDMI Motherboard
Cons:Few scratches on logo heatsinkEthernet driver needed to be updated.
Pros:Wifi ACBIOS is beautiful and easyOnetouch software actually works.I actually like the gold colour. Goes very well with white LED Comment:
Great mobo with excellent ASUS quality. The one heatsink had a few scratches, but the GPU will cover it up.Be sure to download ethernet drivers before install as you'll most likely need them.If you want to match the gold with other hardware Corsair Vengeance Gold works nicely as well as EVGA GTX770 and white LED. |

ASUS Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 DVI HDMI Motherboard
Cons:Included ethernet driver not up to date
Pros:WiFi AC is futureproof for a couple yearsOne-touch 5 way overclocking works well!Included software actually adds value Comment:
The 5 way optimization overclocking is a gem. It will help you find a stable overclock while automatically adjusting voltage and fan speed. Paired with an i5 4690k and a towercooler, it was able to achieve a stable 4.7GHz overclock. The only gripe I have is that the included Intel ethernet driver was not up to date and I couldn't go online with it. Thankfully, the built-in WiFi meant I could just connect wirelessly to my router and update to the latest driver from the Intel website. After doing so, it's been smooth sailing ever since. |

ASUS Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 DVI HDMI Motherboard
Cons:Price, not as beautiful as other motherboards in this price range
Pros:Built in Wifi, Bluetooth, great for overclocking Comment:
Great board if you want wi-fi or bluetooth. And even if you aren't sure, I'd be tempted to pay a few bucks more than the plain Z97-Pro and get it anyway. Overall a great motherboard, don't hesitate to buy it. |
This motherboard is my 2nd from Asus. Their hardware never disappoints.I picked up this board for the support of Thunderbolt (via add-on Asus ThunderboltEx II card). I own an Apple Thunderbolt display, and finally I am fully able to use it flawlessly with my PC. The board is nice to look at - nice light-gold color scheme. The ports are plentiful. Lots of sata connections, and an M.2 for ultra fast SSD drives. The UEFI is completely customization. You have control over so many aspects of the board and how devices operate and function. The fan controls are really great as well.A great board for anyone with a complex setup or who like to change their setup frequently.
