Acer Aspire AS4755G-6457 I5-2410M 2.30GHZ 6GB 750GB 14IN GT540M 1GB DVDRW BT W7HP 64 Notebook
Cons:The Colour, A Small-Large Power adapter (if that makes sense) (Small for being a large power adapter...), 802.11n works with no security or WPA-Personal(AES), some bloat-ware removal. Although I haven't tested the full capability of the battery yet - reading the specs of 4.5 hours is a little disappointing with this computer being a 14inch. Speakers have a high treble sound - however, using the Dolby Equalizer I got it to sound like a normal laptop then the "surround sound" feature does make it a little nicer after that. No manual volume control.
Pros:Perfect size for portability, yet big enough screen to not complain (in HD too; LED). Nice, sturdy keys, reminds you of desktop keyboard, good layout. Runs very well. Great bang for your buck. 6GB's of RAM (DDR3-1066/PC3-8500) And 1GB of Dedicated Memory (Geforce GT540M), 653GB after fresh install (HDD) and a 1.3 MP Camera. |

Acer Aspire AS4755G-6457 I5-2410M 2.30GHZ 6GB 750GB 14IN GT540M 1GB DVDRW BT W7HP 64 Notebook
Cons:-no colour selection-tends to get hot quickly-bloatware, albeit not as much as usual
Pros:-Hyper fast-Good sized keyboard-solid feel when typing Comment:
Bought this laptop for my girlfriend for back to school and the occasional game (she's a closet StarCraft fiend) Very quickly and very easily allowed for setup, we are in the process of copying over her programs and settings currently. She loves keyboard saying that it feels solid under her fingers. Nice spacing between the keys only shortfall being that the left shift key is shortened considerably. The Dolby audio is a nice touch, allowing for decent sound from a laptop. Have yet to test webcam functionalities. |
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. It took a while for me to figure out that the 802.11n got 300Mbps on WPA Personal on AES and to tweek it for things like sound to get it to work the way it should, but now that I have figured all of that out, I am very pleased. It`s too bad it doesn`t come setup like this already - it really ruined the first overall experience for me, but all is good now. Really liking this keyboard... Recommended. Different colour perhaps? Oh, and make sure you change the keyboard settings to United States.
