got this monitor 2 days ago and so far im lovin it! 1920x1080 resolution is beautiful. havent used the speakers..dont think i will ever need to. i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this monitor and one that costs twice as much. definitely recommend it!

Monitor came with No-Dead-Pixels thankfully, build quality is very good with a nice glossy appearance and the stand is solid although I'm wall mounting this one. Colors out of the box were above par from the usual tweaking, contrast was great as was the black levels. Of course the viewing angle is somewhat limited as is most all LCD monitors in this price/panel category. I hooked up via HDMI to test for dead pixels and I was up and running in no time and watching a movie and cruising the net all at astounding levels for what I paid on sale! This monitor is going to be used for my Bell Expressvu High Definition Satellite TV in the bedroom. Perfect!

This is an awesome monitor, don't think twice to buy it, I wasn't sure which to get, I've had two Samsungs before, also seen my bro's 24" Samsung, and this Acer produces much better picture quality, and less backlight bleed then my old samsungs.. I don't know how Acer did it, I bought it for sale at $219.99, it was worth it! I was a bit skeptical at first, but Acer def delivers with this monitor.. Highly Recommend it.. I played Crysis and Far Cry 2 on this thing, simply amazing!! :] If your on a budget and don't wanna spend much get this, even if you want a high end Monitor, you should def consider this Acer..

Amazing, absolutely stunning. Speakers are a bit tinny and lacking the oomph I like, but it's a monitor, not a TV. Shipped quick, no hassles. Great Job TigerDirect

Great Monitor! As someone said the base is pretty light and doesn't look like it could take too much punishment but you shouldn't be using your monitor as a basket ball back board anyway. The fact that it comes with all the cables needed is a bonus (HDMI, DVI, VGA and a Audio cable) Has the capability of input switching. The picture quality is great. Can't go wrong for the price. Buy it now!

This monitor produces a crisp, bright image that looks great. The "touch" controls on the bottom right of the panel work well. My blu-ray movies look fantastic. The image quality is substantially better that my 24" Philips 1080p LCD that I use at work.

I decided to go with a 23" as buying a 24" is about $100 dollars in price difference and 1" doesn't make a huge diference. I'm glad I did, this monitor is great for it's price.It has HDMI inputs which allow you to hookup your PS3/Xbox360, and the picture quality and color in 1080p look amazing. In fact I'd say that it's almost as good as my Aquos TV. I also like that the aspect ratio of this monitor widescreen videos fit the whole screen. This was never the case with my Samsung 2232GW. The screen is not glossy like the GW, but it's not very matte either. Very little reflection comes off the screen. Compared with the GW, the viewing angle of this monitor is much better, you can see clearly, and it helps especially when a few friends are over playing COD.My only complaint is that the monitor seems a bit bright, even when you turn the brightness and contrast down, but I think that's something common on Acer LCDs, even my older AL1916W suffers from it (but the H233H is 10x better). I like the design of this monitor, it seems like Acer taking a design out of the Samsung book. It's simple and nice. The two unique features I like in this monitor are the touch sensitive adjustment buttons and the speakers. They take getting used(pushing hard is a nono), but they're a neat novelty feature. I wonder what happens if they break though? The second feature I like are the built-in speakers, although they aren't the greatest sound quality, they do help if you have an HDMI Xbox360 that doesn't allow you to plug the regular video cable in once you have and HDMI cable plugged in. Surprisingly for such small speakers they can go very loud, but after a while they do get annoying. What I do dislike is that although this monitor has an audio in jack it doesn't have one for audio out. So if you take the case similar to above, you can't output the sound on different speakers, only the monitor, which will get annoying.Another thing I find slightly annoying is the time it takes to go from stand-by to on. The monitor just doesn't turn on right away, it goes into a boot up sequence whereby the power button turns from orange to white, followed by the adjustment buttons lighting up in sequence from left to right. If your in a hurry and just want to check something its a bit frustrating waiting for it to turn on. The good thing about this is that I think it's more power efficient as it turns off the monitor completely, but I could be wrong.All in all I rate it 9/10. I would definately buy another one and probably will.
