Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:Too many connectors
Pros:Cheap, quiet, Antec Comment:
This is not intended to be a high-end PSU so I'm rating it for its intended role. Ignoring off-brands and no-name options this is the 2nd cheapest PSU available not accounting for the mail-in rebate which makes it the cheapest at $22. For this a 450W Antec PSU.The motherboard power wires are braided and everything else is corralled with zip ties. Has more than enough connectors - maybe even too many for the kind of system this would be installed in. Wound up cramming 75% of the wires into the 5.25" bay. This is also the least expensive name brand PSU with the 120mm fan and the included fan is very quiet. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:Cables arent sleeved. Doesnt play well with low Haswell power states
Pros:Quiet Comment:
Hard to argue with the price for $40. Would have preferred even a cheap sleeving for the wires. Some of the leads arent long enough for large cases. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:Problem with new intel Haswell low power state
Pros:Price, performance Comment:
Overall really good product for the price, got it on sale for 29.99 so no complaints here. The only issue was that it did not like Intel's Haswell new low power state. Turn it off and no more problem. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:None
Pros:Made by Antec Comment:
Can't go wrong with Antec. First time Buying a Antec Basiq, but a great deal with the Antec P280 case bundle sale. Have purchased 2 other Antec power supplies in past and they are still going. Works great and quieter than expected. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:Not super efficient
Pros:Quiet large fan, nice black color - doesn't look cheap, lots of vent holes (especially good for dusting out) Comment:
Awesome for a budget PC or replacing a broken PSU for an older computer (like I did). Runs quite quietly thanks to it's large fan. Has a nice black finish and doesn't look cheap, even though it's a budget model!Efficiency is unknown, couldn't find it on the site and I've seen people saying its 70-80%, but it isn't an issue for me. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:- Doesn't use sleeves over the wires
Pros:- Has all your basic cables- Has a nice painted finish- Price is good Comment:
Overall, this power supply is great for simple builds. It has all the connections you are going to need for a computer build that only needs the 450W. If you start getting into some large Graphics cards or want a ton of HHD and SSD, etc then maybe go for something a bit bigger. The only gripe I have with this PSU is that it only sleeves the main 24 pin connector, leaving the rest exposed which makes for hard cable management. Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:None noted
Pros:Price (Sale)Does What It's Supposed To DoDecently Quiet Comment:
For a budget build this is a perfectly decent supply. No it won't run dual 770's but get serious, it's a $35 supply (pricematch). No issues with install or performance on a modest FM2 rig with an A6. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:No active PFC and not 80 plus certified
Pros:Good price if you can get it for $30 without any rebates, great budget PSU for the price Comment:
This VP-450 is on par with the Cosair CX 430 since CX430 has active PFC and 80 plus certified, the CX430 would be a better buy if they are same price. The VP-450 is not bad at all for the price.I have one powering a Phenom II X4 945 and a GTS 250, very stable. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:- Only 24 pin motherboard connector is sleeved (though not much of a big deal)
Pros:- 80% and above efficiency - Solid power supply, no coil whine noise compared to my old Cooler Master Power supply- 24pin motherboard cable sleeved- Quiet fan- Plenty of connectors and have quite a few molex connectors Comment:
Works great for my build:AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black EditionAsus M5A78L-M LX PlusAntec Kuhler 620 Asus Radeon HD 7770On a side note, had quite a bit of trouble installing it into the case because it wouldn't line up with the screw holes on the case. I assume this was my computer case's fault since it is quite an old case. Regardless of that, its installed right now and working flawlessly. Overall very pleased with NCIX shipping time (only took 3 business days, and for some reason package came on a sunday...)and Antec for making such a great product. Will definitely be back here for more computer parts shopping. |

Pros:Very cheapGreat valuePartly sleevedDecent efficiencyQuiet Comment:
This is a very decent PSU for the price. No it's not recommended for gaming builds, but it's more than capable for basic computer builds from a fairly reputable company. I believe the OEM is FSP and it got a fairly good review at hardwaresecrets.Highly recommended for basic builds. |

Antec 450W Entry-Level PSU
Cons:-Only 450 Continuous-Cable management (Not Sleeved - but what do you expect at that price.)
Pros:-CHEAP-Black-PCI-e Connections Comment:
This thing is perfect for low wattage, low budget builds. I would highly recommend it. |
Bought it for a small storage server. Works great for that. Only 4 SATA power and 4 molexes though. You might have to convert some of the molexes to SATA power.
