Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-400 400W Power Supply
Cons:None so far
Pros:Good reliability Comment:
Have not tested out these new power supplies. Although this is marked torwards gaming, I used it for an office PC. It was the best deal for value/cost at the time, and I expect it to keep the computer running at optimal. |

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-400 400W Power Supply
Comment:
i have utilized and trusted antec power supplies for a decade now but i was unsure that a single 12 v rail would be sufficent but i was incorrect a single rail at 30A was far more than enough for a geforce 450 GTS the fan was on the prime of the psu if i mounted it right side up the fan would be up againts steel on the top of my case and get no airflow donno what they where thinking? but easy fix just mounted it upside down as usually antecs top quality is unsurpassed |

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-400 400W Power Supply
Cons:Wire wrap.
Pros:Well constructed Comment:
I can't decide which psu I like more Corsair on Antec. I've been buying both and they both work really well. Maybe I'll just keep buying both until something happens to make me decide. Great buy when on sale. The only thing is the wire wrap. Needs to be better quality. Either go with black cables or textile type wrap which you can not see through and is a much better quality. |

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-400 400W Power Supply
Cons:dc-dc 3.3v rail bug, sleeving
Pros:price, efficiency Comment:
The 3.3v rail on my particular unit appears to be "bugged." It will often droop to 2.81v (which is WAY out of spec) on low power/off loads. Not a big issue though, nothing really uses that rail anyhow. The sleeving on the unit is fairly low quality, it not only lacks density, (most PSU's do) but it is fairly fragile even for cheap sleeving. But given the fact that I got this for ~$35, I can't complain. |

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-400 400W Power Supply
Cons:modular would be better
Pros:new design, new modelsupport latest standardssleeved cablelooked nice Comment:
I bought it when it just came out, was able to get a decent price with the help of price match.I did my home work by reading reviews and watching videos. It was not really a surprise when I unbox it.It has been stable and quiet for a month now, and I have no complains.By the way, these are made by Seasonic. |
I have owned this power supply for 2 months now and have been pleasantly surprised at how well it powers my system especially with all that I have connected to it. (and keep adding to it lol) It's RATED at 400 watts but tested out to be 524 watts actual on the meter! The single 12V rail of course is always good and Antec quality just keeps impressing me from one item to the next. It has plenty of connectors, but only 1 6-pin although really a 400 watt power supply shouldn't be running crossfire. Oops, but I am with a 6850 and 6870 and it still just keeps chugging along with no hiccups!!I also have 6 L.E.D. fans, 2 hard drives, 1 dvd burner, and a stock phenom II 965 on a MSI 990fxa-gd80 mobo. Highly reccomend this product and will be getting the 520 watt version to pass this one down to my kids.
