Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:Instructions are a joke
Pros:PricePerformanceQuietBuild Quality Comment:
This cooler is dead quiet and works like a champ. I used it to replace the OEM Intel cooler on a i5-2500K and the difference is night and day. Even at idle, the BIOS used to say the CPU was 58C. It's now 38C. A 20 degree difference just at idle! The fit and finish appears first rate too. Only a couple of small downsides. 1) The CPU fan/pump plug is only 3 pin and not the normal 4 pin. It's not a biggie as it works just fine though. 2) The instructions are woeful. They aren't clear at all with orientations and positions for the mounting brackets/hardware, even the direction you're supposed to orient the radiator. It took me a bit of trial and error but I eventually did mount it. As long as you have a bit of common sense you can do it, but come on, the instructions are pretty bad. Requires removal of the motherboard of course, but that's to be expected with a high end cooler. It's a little tight with the rad/fan combo, so make sure you put the motherboard back in the case before you try to mount it up! This review was modfied by poster @ 10-12-11 07:35 PM |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:None
Pros:Nice build qualitySubstantial load temp dropEasy installationQuiet Comment:
I had a ( http://ncix.com/products/?sku=18621&vpn=CNPS9500AM2&manufacture=ZALMAN%20TECH ) from my old 939 FX-60 setup cooling my new X4 955 with a slight OC of 3500Mhz (+300Mhz) and the load temps were 68c after 5min p95 which was well above the 62c max. Since my case is a ( http://www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?Idx=281 ) I had limited room, so I figured I try to mount the 620. Man did this work out awesome, the top cover plate of the 160+ had cooling slots that were pitched for a 120mm fan so I mounted the rad with a push/pull fan setup on the cover plate with no problems. My load temps dropped 18c! and with a 3800Mhz OC (+600mHZ). Temps don't go above 50c with p95 doing a 12hr stability test, very satisfied and highly recommend. |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:None
Pros:-Quiet-Small-Efficient-Low priced-No maintenance Comment:
I just bought this cooler to replace the stock 2600k cooler. This one is MUCH more quiet and I get 40C at load instead of 60C wich is great. This cooler is really great, liquid cooling for just about 60$. The only thing I would like with this cooler would be removing the tubes to pass them in the tube holes at the back of my case but this is a sealed cooler. I found a nice spot for it and I don't care much now. |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:Paying taxes boo, when you order from the states you avoid it, plus our dollar is strong now.
Pros:PRICE! $44 is great even after shipping and all still way under retail. Comment:

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:Can't fit top side panel fan on with this installed in a CM690II advanced.Fan cables could be a little shorter
Pros:QuietCools wellMildly easy install with practically no stress on the mobo =) Comment:
Combo'd this with an ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, i5 2500K, and G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL.At $50 this is an incredibly awesome cooler. It's so small and quiet I love it.Installing was pretty simple, but the instructions could have been much better. I did not use the sticky pads on the mount on my MOBO.Keeps my 2500K at 51C LOAD. Running p64 for 12 hours! 28-30C idle depending on ambients |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:Fans can be a bit loud, screws make mounting a second fan difficult
Pros:Small footprint on the CPU fits in smaller cases. Great Antec service Comment:
I bought this for my lanbox I'm building. Fitting in any other heatsink was going to be difficult in the mATX box I had. So this thing went in. Temps ran from 50 degrees at stock speeds on my i3 530 to 60 degrees overclocked from 2.9 to 4.2ghz. This cooler is seriously impressive stuff.I added a second fan, but the screws that were included were difficult to screw in since they aren't long enough to add a second fan. Fortunately Antec mailed me a new set free of charge. |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:a pain to install compared to air cooling
Pros:cost effective Comment:
Bought the antec 620 cooler to replace the stock fan/heatsink that came with my phenom 955. Lowered workload temperatures by a solid 10 degrees celcius. Would definitely buy this one again if looking for cost-effective water-cooling. |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:
Price.
Pros: Quiet, small, good performance, easy to install. Comment:
Bought this to replace the OEM on my 1090t. Very quiet, lowered my temps about 20 degrees centigrade. There are better performing air heatsinks for less money, I chose this because it was small and I still have access to my RAM. Would buy again. |

Antec Kuhler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1156/1366 AM2/AM3 2000RPM
Cons:- Provided instructions looked very childish and unprofessional- Installation instructions are straight forward in one aspect, yet lacking in appropriate detail in another - i.e. AMD backplate requirement- Antec/Astek QA: this my second unit (after an RMA on the first one) which is functional yet defective; the review sites stated that the pump is supposed to be relatively quiet, however the second unit has the pump sounding like a broken fan bearing
Pros:- Excellent cooling, idles in high 20s, while running Prime95 for 1 hour maxes out at 50*C (on my system). Comment:
This product got excellent performance reviews, which have swayed me into buying this cooler over the Corsair H60. That is also why I went with a replacement 620 unit instead of the Corsair H60. Unfortunately, the second unit has the running pump sounding like a worn-out fan, with a "chirping" bearing. The first unit had also a defect, where the fan would not work if it was connected to the pump's 3-pin y-splice (the unit was tested on other systems withe same results).System reference at time of writing:case: Antec 300mobo: Asus M4N82 DeluxeRAM: 6 GB OCZ DDR2 800PSU: Corsair AX750F.Fans: 2x Noctua NF S12B FLX This review was modfied by poster @ 05-24-11 08:08 PM |
I had the ZALMAN CNPS9500 and it was alright but under load my cpu went to 65'ish. Now with this, under load it hits 55 IF i have been running Prime95 or rendering for a bit in Adobe. Any good heatsink is going to need the removal of your MOBO so I can't call that a con. YOU HAVE to use a 2nd fan in push pull, it dramaticly changes the temps, even at low RPM. My guess is that is seals the radiator and ejects air the best. SUGGESTION: buy a fan controller, cable extenders and a couple of the KAZE 5000 RPM fans with this. then you can control your noise when you want and get the best airflow. This model does not have fan controllers on it like it's bigger brother the 920.
