It is modular, kinda. It is so significantly quieter than my stupid, low-cost, old energy supply (this is for a new build although).Great major fan.Cables come wrapped.Looks good, feels nice. See other thoughts and make a decision if it's a con for you, it isn't really for me. You know how I mentioned kinda? Properly it has a few attached cables: 24-pin atx, eight-pin CPU, 4-pin CPU, a SATA with 2 or three connectors. A 6 pin GFX, some molex and a floppy power. All attached, plus some extra you can plug in if you need them.

All the attributes and price with rebate! Arrived DOA. Booted for a couple seconds then died. It is terribble that I have to spend for shipping when the product doesnt operate. This went from a great deal to a mediocre 1 in two seconds not to mention the down time wasted to get a replacement. Newegg typically rocks on acquiring replacements though!

Runs very cool and quiet. Even stressed in Prime 95 there is hardly any heat coming out of this thing. And completely ramped up, it is the quietest fan in the situation. So I guess if you're expecting this to exhaust a lot of air from your case, it's a "con", I suppose. But it would look to be the unit of option for a bottom-mounted case/psu setup. And oh, of course it's a Modular PSU, so it eliminates a whole lot of cable clutter in a smaller situation. None truly. The non-modular cables and wrap are pretty "beefy" and a bit stiff to perform with, but once again, I suppose this is a excellent sign that they've utilised top quality, heavy-gauge wire and shielding. You fundamentally do not have to use any of the modular cables in a "standard" construct. Almost everything you want--and nothing a lot more--is thoughtfully arranged in the 2 "fixed" cable bundles.I have been an Antec fan for quite a few years--they just seem to create good quality, no hassle stuff.

I have usually utilised Atec circumstances and power supplys. I installed this power provide and it lasted four weeks. I got a RMA but they would not pay return shipping which is fairly costly. It took them three weeks to send a replacement, so I sat with a new Pc I could not use. I will not purchase Antec in the future.

Cables are lengthy to reach to the leading of my substantial case (psu mounted on the bottom). 9 SATA power connectors was great (I utilized them all). Just a day or two following installing it began to give an intermittent loud high pitched noise. I would have to shutdown the Pc and wait a couple of seconds prior to it would go away. It could be heard all through the house! I did some far more investigation later to come across that this was widespread with Antec power supplies. I shipped it back to NewEgg for a refund. I went to my local Greatest Buy and bought a Thermaltake power supply which I am not possessing problems with.

Seems to hold the voltage quite steady. Quiet when the fan controller is working. Most likely the greatest value out there if you get a fantastic 1, but I could have got a higher powered unit for the exact same funds when I contemplate the cost of the RMA. Had to RMA the original unit due to the fact the fan control went crazy on the second day I had it and started blowing the fan at complete speed. It was quite loud ALL THE TIME. When I originally bought the unit it was ๪, I purchased a replacement at 贄, Newegg hasn't refunded the distinction as of yet. The replacement unit I received appears to have a effectively operating fan controller unit so far. I've had it installed for about two weeks now. I saw a comparable dilemma somebody had with a TP-750 on Tom's Hardware so I RMA'd mine. The replacement unit I received has a slightly older serial number. So I'm hoping the fan controller difficulties are just a luck of the draw and not a thing that will develop once again more than time.

This is quality, just like the Antec case I put it in, Antec Sonata Elite case . I consider it's on sale now. It will power the intel DX58SO board. Be careful, quite a few lower power supplies don't have the 2X4 connector, Intel calls it 2X4, Antec just calls it 8 pin. This connector is utilized to power the more power hungry processors directly that the DX58SO board is designed for. It's also interactive based on power needs. Read the specs. This is an outstanding supply !!! If you want high quality this is the provide for you. I'm feeding a DX58SO with the intel extreme processor. Also a Firepro 2450 video card " drives 4 monitors ". I'm not overclocking and this power supply with the Sonata cased keeps cool with the fans on low. Spend a few additional bucks, you'll be glad you did. Buy this supply, very best income you ever spent ! which ever provide you acquire, if the specs don't list the 8 pin connector or intel calls it 2X4 call the manufacturer and ask them , if you're working with it for thr Intel DX58SO board you're going to need that connector. Newegg, like so numerous other people say, you guys rock !!!

I purchased this power supply since quite a few customers mentioned it was so quiet although supplying steady voltage. This is definitely the case! I can barely hear it purring along, and the voltages have been even keel. And when I decide to upgrade to CrossFire in a few months, I'll be more than ready with this baby. A little high-priced for a power provide, but I can't take an egg off for good quality. It'll be well worth the investment. Cable management was super easy. five-year restricted warranty is a bit reassuring.

Price tag/Performance, quiet Makes noise. There's a loosely wound coil somewhere inside and due to the fact it's a switching power supply, the frequency of noise alterations below unique loads. Will in all probability want to RMA, but I haven't place the Pc in its final residence but. Hopefully it's quiet enough to not notice there. Also this PS can hardly be considered "modular", it only has accessory sockets for an additional PCIE device and additional HD's.

Somewhat modularawesome cost when i purchased it 80. QuietSleeving The sleeving on some cables came loose. The 8 pin mobo and 4 pin mobo cables are two separate hardwired cables. So i have to nonetheless tuck and hide 1 unused cable as my mobo only utilizes the four pin.

Modular cabling with some hard-wired cablingChoice of hardwired cabling near excellent (both in connections and which rail they go to)Minimal but adequate documentation (identifies rail each and every 12V connector goes to) Could they sell a slightly less costly version and just don't include the added modular cables?Included screws are silver not black to go with PSUWill have to look at upgrading if I wanna go SLI with a 2nd 5850, but the 650 W sizing was my choice to start with. Can you tell I can't truly come up with any appropriate cons??? :) My rig: EVGA SLI LE mobo 鼵-TR), i7묺, 6 GB RAM, single 5850 vid card, 40 GB boot SDD, DVDRW, 1TB HDD, Coolermaster 690 Advance II case with 3 included fans and 1 added side fan. With this configuration I had to use a single set of Molex-to-SATA power connection adaptors to wire everything up, and got by with only the 'hard' pigtailed cabling. May possibly've avoided even the adaptor if I chose a various drive placement in my racks, but like to spread them out for cooling. Included pigtails nicely spread out on 12V rail: principal mobo connex goes to rail 1, aux mobo connex to rail two, and a dedicated cable with a single 6-or-8 pin, and 1 6-pin connector perfect for going to your video card ties to rail three internally. As installed in the CM690II case the PSU has 'independent' airflow (intakes from case bottom, exhales thru back) and I can feel virtually no heat in the exhaust.

This powersupply is def. a good option if you want a powersupply that you can hang on to. Antec makes good parts that last a extended time. This PS is quiet, and puts out much more than adequate power for any above typical rig. (gaming, high finish computing, etc...)Has decent long cables, great for any full or mid. tower, and has plenty of cables as nicely (won't go into the rails and so on... too considerably to talk about :D)This is also operating a decent value on newegg! Only noticable con is the cost, even so as was stated, it's a rock solid item, and worth the dollar quantity. when I last checked the Antec site, this PS was far more pricey by way of them.also, I'll give you an notion of the rig I use (For point of reference)-Antec full tower-Antec TP-650W-two Antec 80mm case cooling fans (one intake, one outtake, with two extra 'non-Antec' fans)-regular Dell MOBO (nothing specific)-two GB RAM-SATA DVD drive-SATA HDD-AMD 64 x2 proc.-Fan manage Unit-Radeon HD4770 1GB GDDR5 Vid. Card** I have run this setup for numerous days on complete power with no reprecusions.----- Hope you appreciate this product if you get it, happy acquiring :D

Really, Quite Quiet, lots of possibilities. Modular Design. 4 Rails makes dividing up your technique power needs a breeze. Has a separate PCI-E power connector (x4). The rebate was good also. Not seriously a con but the PS has a substantial PWM fan built-in. Am I supposed to turn on my Q-Fan feature in BIOS for my ASUS MB??? There is no mention about this PWM feature or how to take advantage of it. Or does it take care of itself?? It would be good if Some thing about this was mentioned somewhere. Using it in my Antec 3 Hundred Case. No problems with lengths of any of the cables reaching their destinations in my Mid Tower case. Replaced an Antec Earthwatts 500w PS mainly because I upgraded my video card.

Gots adequate power fan tends to make clicking noise I thought it was something shorting out but when I turn off the personal computer you can hear it commence clicking slowly down to a halt. May well be a thing rubbing the fan but its no major deal for now. It runs cool so im not worried for now. I got the warranty to back me up.
