Cons:Display viewing angles are limited to one person. Incredible screen if viewed directly in front.Android 2.2 Froyo is not optimized for a 10" screen.Some technical knowledge is very helpful in tweaking this tablet to really shine.Will not connect to AdHoc networks.
Pros:Excellent price compared to other similar tablets.Tough glass LCD - six months of abuse has not produced a single scratch!Great multimedia device - especially playing movies and videos.Most of the included software is useful. Simple hacks allow full use of the Google marketplace.Thin and light - feels a little flimsy but is a lot tougher than initial impressions suggest.Tethers well to many cell phones - if have used Nokia E71 and an iPhone4. Comment:
Bought my A101 IT directly from Archos when they first released it. Fortunately Archos is very diligent in releasing firmware upgrades to address initial issues.It really shines where Archos has so many years of experience - as a multimedia device. The software/hardware performs flawlessly in viewing pictures (I connect my Nikon D3100 directly to download), watching movies/videos at 720p and as a music player. I can connect wirelessly to my home network ( a few issues with Win7) and have streamed movies directly from my HTPC with no issues at all. I also use it extensively as a book reader.Browsing on the web is a lot better if you replace the default browser with Dolphin HD.Most of its shortcoming are because of the Android 2.2 operating system and not the hardware. |

Cons:Not quite as snappy as an Ipad, but more than good enough.
Pros:Awesome!Awesome!Awesome!I can't tell you how happy I am with this piece of kit. Its so easy to connect to your home PC and transfer files including video such as mkv. Battery life is great. Put your files on a USB drive and easily access them. No more $#!^ ITunes. Comment:

I just got this and after charging like they said (until light blinks) my tablet won't turn on. Any suggestions? I gave it 4 stars if it works as advertised because it looks good as an ornament anyway.
