My old HTPC's fan is very old and started to make a high-pitched noise. This performs a bit better than the stock cooler and is quieter. For the price, I can't complain and it does what I want it to. Don't expect high performance from this.The pre-applied MX-2 is very good thermal paste so no need to purchase any. Makes installation a bit easier.
