Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:uncertain of effectiveness if overclocking

Pros:Runs quietly, keeps the CPU cool, easy to install (in seconds, really), has 4 pin connector
Comment:
I have installed these onto 2 different CPUs, an e8400 and a Pentium Dual Core e2180. I do not overclock and it keeps both CPUs sufficiently cool (in the 30's to 40's). It is nicely quiet and would be recommended if you wish to set up an HTPC or a quiet PC. I am not so certain if it can handle an overclocked CPU since I don't overclock. It also fits quite nicely on the DFI P45-T2RS mATX board since the chipset heatsink gets in the way of many CPU coolers, so I would recommend this cooler for that motherboard.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:Performance is lacking

Pros:CheapFan is relatively quietMX-2 pre-applied
Comment:
This is a nice alternative to a C2D stock cooler (especially the ones that come with the 45nm versions). It's not too big, has a soft mounted fan and Arctic Cooling's MX-2 thermal compound pre-applied. It's obviously not a great performer, but it's a heck of a lot quieter. Good value for $12 price matched.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:Does not cool any better then stock

Pros:Quiet, easy to install
Comment:
Cheap heatsink that does the job, installs easily. It probably would have costed me almost as much to buy some thermal paste anyways (this heatsink comes with thermal paste preapplied)

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:none

Pros:Quiet Cheap Decent performance
Comment:
Bought this as a cheap solution to cool an E8200 oc'ed to 3.0ghz. Works very well in keeping the cpu cool. Not recommended for high oc'ing

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:4-pin click-in installation still makes you wonder if you'll snap the mobo when you're doing it

Pros:good for air cooled OC
Comment:
I bought this for a new top end gaming rig, and I can't complain. It lines up perfectly with the rear exhaust fan for the 780i SLI mobo, and sits right beside the 200mm exhaust fan of the Antec 900 case, so between the three fans, I can keep the chip cool enough to OC the Q9550 to 3.7ghz and keep it stable and safely cooled. I'm thrilled with the results, and I applaud this product.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan
Cons:No better than stock HSF

Pros:Quiet and cheap, easy to install
Comment:
This is a good quiet HSF. No better than a stock HSF but much quieter. Worked very well with my friends P4. It was a breeze to install, but the gunk is recommended to remove for arctic silver or similar quality thermal paste.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro LGA775 500-2000RPM PWM 36.7CFM Low Noise Heatsink Fan

This review was modfied by poster @ 08-11-08 05:13 AM
