Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 Pro PWM 120mm Fan 400-1500RPM 57CFM FDB
Cons:- WOW. just wow. the design. really doesnt give you many possible ways to integrate it into a somewhat cluttered system. here's why:- can only be mounted from 1 side due to the frame being attatched to the fan with rubber from only 1 side, meaning its ONLY a puller fan- outrageously large depth, so even though i tried using it in many spots it simply couldn't fit without rubbing against a wire or my graphics card or power supply, or case. i tried mounting it as a side fan and as a front case fan and it just wouldn't fit. the 1-way design means I couldn't use it as a push or pull fan on my cooler's radiator due to how it is in my case.- did NOT include the 4-pin moly adapter, meaning i couldn't even hook it up anywhere but directly to my motherboard.- it really didn't move much air at all, I have a 90 mm fan that vastly outperforms it and isnt very loud.
Pros:- interesting design, fan is attatched to its frame with some rubber mounts- is probably quite quiet- has wiring that allows you to hook up a second 3 or 4pin fan to it so you have 2 fans on one mobo slot.- box says 6 year warranty, thats impressive |

Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 Pro PWM 120mm Fan 400-1500RPM 57CFM FDB
Cons:cannot reverse mount
Pros:appreciably silent Comment:
this fan is the quietest ratio price/noise. be aware that it can't be mounted in another way then extract air from the PC. that alone removes a star. |
So I'm giving this a 2 stars out of 5 simply because the outrageously size and 1-way only design didn't allow me to even use the fan in my computer. It's packed away.I wish I would have spent more time looking at reviews to understand this major flaw in the design. I like everything else, it seems quite quiet when it isnt hitting other components, and looks like it was engineered well. Nice try Arctic Cooling but I just wasn't able to use your product, please add more information to the product info area? You can probably get good use of this fan if you have the space and don't need much from your fans.
