Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:Difficult to fit in a small chassis and blocks RAM slots on some motherboards
Pros:Very quiet, cools well, not expensive Comment:
I purchased one of these from a local shop about a year ago for my Athlon X2 4200. It was a great upgrade from the cooler that came with the PC. The only issue was the size of the heatsink and the placement of the fan. The fan makes it difficult to fill your ram slots but with value ram it's still possible. I could see an issue with ram that have heatsinks on them; reaper ram from OCZ for example. I'll be moving this cooler to my next build with an Phenom II X3 720 Black edition and I expect decent performance. Very satisfied with Arctic cooling products, if this doesn't cool well enough for me to reach that overclock I'm gunning for I'll definitely go with a higher end product from them. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:Installation options are limited.
Pros:Quiet, good price. Comment:
Bigger than I expected, but fit all the same. The issue I had with the installation is that I was unable to point the fan in the direction I wanted (blowing towards the back) - limited mounting options. It is quiet - and does the job. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:-very close to the dimm slot on my motherboard, but does not touch-installation was scary, but well worth it
Pros:-large heatsink with copper pipes-great airflow and design-quiet Comment:
This replaced the stock fan that came with my X2 5200+It will now be used to cool a upcoming X3 720 with some more MX-2.I bought this at a local pc store just a stone throw from me for more than the current price now, but it was worth it. I should have bought it from NCIX, but I was worried it would not fit because of the dimm slot and easily returnable if that was the case. Nothing against NCIX's retutn policy though.Excellent aftermarket HS/F.Can't wait for the new CPU to see how this cools it. |

Cons:none
Pros:QuietKeeps CPU coolEasy to install Comment:
I have been using this HSF for a year now and I upgraded my CPU and bought another one just like it. I first installed the stock CPU HSF and it was loud and my CPU temp was 46 idle and 51 under heavy load. After installing this onto my CPU temp was 34 idle and 41 under heavy load. Will always buy from arctic cooling! This was my first HSF to install and I managed to not mess it up. This HSF is also quieter than the stock one. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:kind of blocks access to two of my memory slots
Pros:cools very goodgood price went on salebetter than stock cooler Comment:
keeps my Athlon X2 5000+ black edition overclocked to 3.1 GHzat a decent temperature fan gets a little loud at full speedIdle temperature is 36c and a load temperature of 51cand a average temperature of 44c-47c while gamingit blocks two of my memory slots but if I install the memory first it fits the fan is almost touching the memoryso I guess it actually does a good job of cooling my memory along with the CPU .Try to install it if possible pointing to the back of your case I have mine pointing towards a 120 mm fan sucking hot air out of the back of my computerthis works very well and keeps the hot air out of my computer. If you see this heatsink on sale I would definitely recommend itthe only thing I would worry about is this thing is pretty big and may not fit on some motherboards. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:-Fan sticks out more than it should/could-Actually could have been bigger (for 120mm fan instead)
Pros:-Surprising cooling capacity for its size-Good preapplied paste-Relatively quiet fan when PWM is enabled-Cheaper solution Comment:
I was pretty interested to try this cooler given the huge amount of positive reviews, but I have to admit it slightly disappointed me and ended up causing installation issues. Overall this is still a great cooler, cheap but well constructed (copper base, curved bottom fins for CPU mosfet cooling etc). The fan is pretty quiet when using PWM and the rubber mounts help, but overall the fan caused me issues--it actually sticks out twice as much as it would without the fancy mount, and seeing as I'm using OCZ Reaper HPC sticks it actually blocked the 2 first RAM slots (regular sticks would probably fit). Good thing most mobos won't complain about using slots 3-4 only. It keeps my Athlon 7750BE (stock clock) at about 40C under full load which is pretty good, so I expect it'll be able to handle 3GHz+ without getting much hotter. If I were to redesign this cooler I'd definitely make it bigger so it can accomodate a 120mm fan, and ditch the rubber mounts in order to clear the RAM slots for people who use RAM with high heatsinks (OCZ Reaper, Corsair Dominator, etc). All in all, I would actually purchase this cooler again but I learnt my lesson; research dimensions before buying! |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:On the mobo I'm using it blows hot air towards the RAM and HDD, also somewhat big
Pros:Incredibly Quiet, Keeps CPU very cool, Nice to look at Comment:
A few days ago I purchased a new CPU and decided that I'd need a new heatsink and fan to cool it, considering that I don't think I'd be very good with messing about with thermal paste, so I looked to Arctic Cooling, who I had used previously, and who had impressed me with the previous product I used by them (AC Alpine 64). I couldn't find the Alpine 64 so I went with the Freezer 64 Pro which, lucky me, also had a thermal patch on it.Installing the heatsink was a bit of a feat, but I managed to hook the latches on and snap it tight with relatively little trouble (save for a bit of sliding around on the CPU and the fan part popped off at one point, but it was easy to fit back on). Upon starting my machine, I immediately noticed that it was much quieter than the Alpine, although it required me to take a cone-like object off the "service door" of my case (Where I'll be installing a case fan, shortly). I was also pleasantly surprised to notice that my Core temperature had dropped 10°C, and was now 30°C under the "average" 65°C.So far, Arctic Cooling has impressed me twice so far, and I look forward to purchasing more heatsinks by them, if ever the need arises. 10/10 |

Cons:none
Pros:coolquietcheapfront to back airflow Comment:
I used an AMD 5000+ Black in a build for a friend and need a good cheap CPU cooler. I like the way it directs the airflow from front to back, so it doesn't disrupt the overall flow in the case. The temperature stays reasonable and Its pretty quiet, but I didn't have the stock cooler for comparison.I used the equivalent intel cooler for my own build and I am quite satisfied. |

This cooler is alright...just alright. I installed it on a AMD 64 X2 5000+ and it does the job. Please note that I haven't overclocked my CPU. It was a pain in the keyster to install on my ASUS uATX board...not for fat fingers. Works...cheap...so I'd buy again. |

i am very happy with this fan, keeps my system cool not too noisy, help to keep my Mosfets cool as well , highly recommend it , only trouble i had with it was to remove this black plastic plate or not behind the face that sits on the cpu , no mention of it in the instructions so i removed it not knowing what it would be for anyway. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:-Fan may block RAM module on certain motherboards
Pros:-Quiet-Very good cooling for the price-As easy to install as stock heatsink/fan-MX-1 Thermal Paste already applied Comment:
I usually stay away from aftermarket coolers, simply because I don't ever overclock and don't like spending the extra money. I made an exception this time because my stock AMD cooler for my X2 6400+ sounded like a weed wacker when under load. I got this cooler because of the price, and the good reviews.I was afraid it was going to be difficult to install, but thankfully it was no worse than the stock cooler. It is kind of big. I installed it with my motherboard in the case but it would probably be much easier to take it out. I got a flashlight to make sure all the clips were on properly. After installation, I noticed a difference right away. My system was finally quiet under load. My temps were also much lower, and they should only get better as the thermal compound sets within the first 200 hours. The only downside is that the fan blocks one of the RAM modules on my motherboard, so I'll have to remove the whole heatsink if I ever want to remove it. Luckily, I rarely do.Overall, I definitely recommend this cooler. |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:Huge! (But if it fits, it fits.)
Pros:Silent yet effectiveIncludes its own thermal paste Comment:
When I received this thing, I was rather surprised at its size. However, its intuitive design allows for excellent cooling while remaining nice and quiet, and the fact that it includes its own MX-1 thermal paste means that's one less thing to worry about getting. Clearly, size does matter. :P |

Cons:- not exceptionally good performance
Pros:- cheap- fairly quiet- better than stock Comment:
Replaced a stock s939 AMD heatsink, and the system is now running cooler and quieter than before. Installation can be a bit fiddly, but it does not require you to remove the motherboard from the case first. Overall, a cheap replacement for the stock heatsink that easily outperforms it. |

Cons:can be hard to install
Pros:Cool well, silent Comment:
First this cooler is great! lowered my idle temps by 4-5 degrees and my load temp by 3-4 degrees...and that is at lower fan speed and not breaked-in! very effective. I found it easy to install, but I removed the mobo to do a better job. Because this thing is quite big, installing it in a cramped space is not recommended. make sure the 2 littles black pins goes into the holes on the bracket and you should not have to put more strength to lower the lever than the stock cooler. in order words...brains over muscle :) |

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:- Large, which makes it a little harder to install than the stock HS
Pros:- Provides quieter cooling than stock AMD HS- Cools CPU down faster than stock HS (from full load to idle)- PWM controller (really slow fan speed at idle) Comment:
Overall, this heatsink is fine. Keeps my 4800+ X2 (65nm version) AT 25 degrees when idle, and never seen the CPU go over 42 degrees under load. One aspect that is nice about this heatsink is that it cools the CPU down must faster than the stock heatsink, drops from 35-40 degrees under full load down to 25 degrees idle in a matter of seconds rather than taking over a minute.I noticed an earlier poster commented about having trouble installing this heatsink on the ASUS M3A motherboard, but I didn't have too much trouble, took about 5 minutes to install. Cons:Big very bigAwkward to put in
Pros:Easy install even works for AM2Quiet Comment:
This fan is great. It is a power house of a cooler it does such a good job at stock speeds that the fan hardly ever has to turn on to cool the processor. And when the fan does come on it hardly makes any noise at all.AC products are awesome all the way they put a lot of thoughts in there gear and everything they make is simply perfect. If you bought this for your 939 cpu and are thinking of upgrading to AM2 you can reuse this cpu cooler by making a small adjustment to the mounting bracket. All you need to do is either break off or bend back the outside clips and it will fit perfectly on the AM2 cpu slot. |
Had to find a CPU cooler that would fit in my case (ones with 120mm fans are too big for my case). Replaced stock HS/F on my AMD X2 3600+, and it runs cooler, and quieter. Great product overall!
