Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:-Messy cleanup. Typically I go back and forth between Goo Gone (to grab the bulk of the arctic silver) and 99% Isopropanol to clean the CPU and heatsink.-Really old tubes can get a bit runny. Even then, if you squirt out the little bit that's runny, you still get perfectly working paste.
Pros:-Works great - much better than generic silicon paste.-Takes a really long time to dry out in the tube: I have had tubes that have lasted for YEARS and still work like new.-Relatively easy to spread. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:a bit messy
Pros:Works well and keeps it cool Comment:
This was quite easy to use once you get the hang of it. I would recommend this product to anyone. The needle like shape allows it to be easily and quite precisely applied. However, I was a little bit shaky and first but once you get the hang of it, you can dispense the paste more accurately. Definately go for the price match and its worth to buck for wut it does! |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:NONE!!
Pros:Syringe style instead of a tube Comment:
This is the best thermal paste I have ever used, hands down. I would recommend this to anyone. The syringe style paste is an awesome plus side to the tube style since you can dispense the paste more accurately. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:none that I found
Pros:High quality, real bits of silver in thereSpreads very smooth Comment:
I use this on my cpu waterblock for an i7 cpu chip, and it seems to do the job very well. It spread well, so I hardly had to use any to cover the chip and waterblock interface. Apparently these thermal pastes take some time (a couple of weeks) to settle in, and work best after they have been cycled (get hot, cool down while computer is off, get hot again, etc). I would definitely buy this product again. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:A little pricey for 3.5 grams
Pros:Does it's job well Comment:
Picked this up as an alternative to the mx-2 for use on my 2.8GHz quad, with a Scythe Orochi. The Arctic Silver brought my CPU temp (under load) down by about 6 degrees. This stuff is great! It's way thicker than some of the other ones out there (as it should be) so it doesn't slop all over the place if you have to wiggle the heat sink to get the mount on. |

Cons:None that I have experienced.
Pros:Easy to work with. Excellent product. Comment:
I have used this product on 4 installations. I followed the directions and the result was excellent. The warmest the duel core 3.0 GHz CPU got was 31 degrees C. I highly recommend this product. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:cheaper elsewhere, but price match rocks
Pros:Seems like a good compound with high density Comment:
The compound seemed good visually and feels very dense. I would say that it's probably a great product, but I won't be able to tell the way I use my computer. I just got it because my heat sink fell out when I dropped my case during moving and had to re-paste the sink and cpu. |

Cons:none
Pros:works as expected, affordable solution, small/portable Comment:
Effectively drops the temp. of the CPU down 5-10 deg. C. Very impressed. Will buy again.I recommend buying at least 1 or 2 more just in case. It's always better to have extras around then to not have any when you need them :) |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:-A bit pricey
Pros:-Works well Comment:
Article Silver 5 (aka AS5) does the job it's supposed to do- help transfer thermal energy from a hot chip to a heat sink. Applies easily and doesn't conductive electricity. Highly recommended. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:Conductive
Pros:Best in class, easy to use, lasts Comment:
This has to be the best thermal compounds I have ever come across. It goes on easy (prefer line method), and you can see a great improvement in temps almost instantly. I used this product on my CPU, GPU, Northbridge and Southbridge. All are running amazingly cool now.Be careful though...this compound IS conductive, so even if you get a tiny drop or smudge on your parts, use some rubbing alcohol to clean it off, prior to powering up.Good Luck |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:-Applicator design could be improved
Pros:-Can cause a double-digit drop in CPU temperature-A reliable and consistent compound Comment:
I used this on a 5 year-old AMD Athlon CPU, and saw a 10 degree drop in temperature after the compound had finished setting. This stuff works great, and I always recommend it to my friends! The only gripe I have about this product is the design of the applicator. Putting the thermal compound on the CPU can be a bugger with the current design, and I often found myself spreading too much of the compound. In effect, this is like a tube of caulking - you either get too much or too little coming out, but never the amount you want. |

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram
Cons:none
Pros:Good and plenty (if you use it correctly) look on the site for instructions for your type of cpu. Comment:
Its thermal paste, and one that is recommended to everyone on all forums and sites. It came in a box so it didnt get crushed or anything. Works well. |
I've been using Arctic Silver since the original, and AS5 is still pretty much THE thermal paste to beat. There's a ton of great pastes now, but they all pretty much equal AS5 or beat it in performance by maybe 1 or 2 degrees C.When you buy Arctic Silver 5, you know you're getting a high quality paste that will last for years, spread well and not dry up prematurely.
