Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Processor BX80580Q9400This is a very fast CPU and with the 12mb L2 cache it really keeps things from slowing down. I was thinking of going with an i7 but after seeing what this one does, I'm glad I didn't as I saved a lot of dollars on everything that supports it. I have it running on an eVGA 790 Ultra with 4gb of Patriot 7-7-7-20, an eVGA GTX 280 and powered up with an Enermax 465 with a 20 to 24 pin power cable adapter. This all runs Crysis on high at 1680x1050 resolutions and no issues whatsoever. I installed a big Zalman cooler to keep the flames down.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardGreat board. Used this for my first build... easy to set up, booted up first try with absolutely no issue. Thanks to TD for quick delivery... it arrived on one of the worst snow storms in my town's history.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Processor BX80580Q9400This Quad chip is nothing less than awesome, I upgraded this from a Core 2 Duo E7200. In all respect an E7200 is a very agile chip and a blessing for budget builders. But if you have the cash go with Quad Core, there has been constant debate about Duo vs. Quad and gaming debates as well for FPS performance. I will tell you this going to the Q9400 has given me 10+fps in Crysis and 5 degrees hotter on my 9800GT's in SLI. Now only reason for the heat increase is now the system is running at max computing and is working the cards to their full potential. But if you want the best, the old saying is your going to pay for it and this is a great chip for your cash!

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardMixed feelings about this board. For starters, it seems that the onboard SATA controller is defective because I keep getting errors with both the latest nForce drivers and the generic ones. I would much rather have another controller so I didn't have to use the nVidia one; ports are in a bad spot. The big NB heatsink is actually covering 2 chips which both run very hot. I have the chipset on this board watercooled and it's still a little toasty! Overall, the performance is great for the price and I was able to run my Q6600 at 3.2Ghz without a problem. For those who are having trouble overclocking your Q6600's, try lowering the multiplier to 8 and set the FSB to 1600. This board should handle the overclock and you will have a 1:1 ratio if you are running PC2-6400 RAM (800mhz). Good board but could be a lot better.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardGreat board. Don't listen to the naysayers. Just read the book and use the Asus connectors and you can't go wrong. Just installed this with a new Quad Core and everything fired up the first time with no bios update.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardWell, I'm going on 7 hrs trouble shooting the install of this board. I have been getting the blue screen of death after running the ASUS CD that comes with it. I narrowed it down to the sound drivers, just then I get the blue screen when the audio drivers are not even installed. I have 5 other ASUS boards in systems and have never had this much of a problem. I would normally suggest ASUS, but I defenitly would not suggest this baord!!!

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardBought this board about 2 weeks ago for a new build, finally got everything installed about a week ago, go to turn the power on.. everything turns on fine, green light on board, and video card. everything works fine except the fact I can't get my monitor to post so I can load windows... Talked to asus they said my BIOS on the motherboard were too old for the E7300 Core 2 Duo which it clearly says on the box it handles.. So ASUS told me to flash my bios.. I just sent it back.. I think it is outragous that they would make a socket 775 board that doesn't accept every socket 775 CPU thats made for it off the bat.. Now I'm out here sending my motherboard back or flashing BIOS ... keep this in mind when you buy this board guys...

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardJust finished building a new system around this board with a Core 2 Quad Q6600, two BFG GeForce 9600GT OC2 in SLI, 4GB ram, 2 500GB drives and 2 200GB drives both in RAID 0. Running Vista 32 Home Premium. Had some issues at first, but after replacing the nForce drivers downloaded from Asus with drivers downloaded from Nvidia, things got much better. The only problem with the board installation is that the CD audio socket is located underneath the second PCIx16 slot and the video card squishes the wire a bit, but it still goes in. There is a problem with the onboard audio - an annoying misquito whine comes through the speakers when the CPU is idling (check the forums for this issue). I resolved this by disconnecting the case speaker. Unless you're going to run a 64 bit OS, plan on 3GB of ram because that's all that's supported. Otherwise, this is a good board with lots of features and it runs stable - I'm OCing at 10% right now and will probably push it more later.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardI'll be honest, I've never built a computer before, so I was nervous. But this board was so easy to setup. Booted up first try, overclocked no problem. The northbridge chipset runs a little hot, but it comes with an ''optional'' fan, which i strongly recommend you use. It has every feature you could want, and the price was great. I'm running it 2.40Ghz quadcore, 4gig ram, and Nvidia 8800 GT, 64bit OS, runs stable and cool. Buy it!

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardI got this board in a couple days as per shipping quote. No real problems except for the NIC driver in XP. I installed the one I had dl'ed to disc bam no problems. The ez connectors kick tail makes it super easy to plug case stuff in.. way to go asus. The IDE port for sucks donkey nuts if you have a big v-vard as it sits right over the connector /shrug. Squeezed it in anyways no issues. Stuff was packed good except for the CPU box was a bit damages but since it was packed well no problems. This board kicks butt however going SLI with two large card sis deff. an issues as far as space goes The 1st card alomst covers the 2nd x16 slot. No issues with bios the auto update feature kicks but. Supported my E8400 right out of the box. Specs: E8400 9800 GTX Black Edition NZXT Appolo Case NZXT 600 watt PS 2 gigs OZC sli 800 mhz ram 16mb 7200 rpm HDD sata LightScribe burner IDE 22'' Samsung T220 It's worth the money for what you get if you do it yourself. I bang out 125 FPS on COD4

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardI have a BFG 630i and it is still kicking, also have me a 780i TRI Sli, from EVGA, well reviews was all good for it, but check out there site, problems all over the boards, so this is my next board, and I am very pleased and happy with it, Worked right out of the box, had to upgrade the bios before setting up, using the 45nm processor. Even give you the ability to use SLi at x16. One thing I do notice is that the USB's keeps teling me that its not connected to a 2.0 but it is, maybe its my monitor, IDK.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardI purchased this board and after I got everything hooked up, it didn't boot or give me any beeps. I tried all the tests of different components to find it was a dead motherboard. When I uninstalled it, I was repackaging it and found a rectangular sticker mark on the back. I'm not sure why I got a refurbished or damaged board that was sent 'new' in the box. The new one is on order and I hope the second works.

ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI MotherboardI ordered this board for a computer build I was doing and after having trouble powering up, I learned the board was DOA. I sent it back, and figuring it was a good board because of the reviews, I ordered the same one again. Same problem again. I switched to an EVGA board and its working excellently. Two dead boards in a row does not make the product look very good to me, but have your own experiences.
