VERY, VERY, VERY "tricky" to configure.

EXTREME range, EXTREME speed, EXTREME security, awesome router when setup is well done. It is my 5th router and needed more than 1 hour to configure and connect, (LAN and WLAN). If you want to save time, use the wizard on CD, save configuration on USB device, install connection on each computer from USB, and REBOOT. From ASUS, i was expecting something more "user-friendly". |
I bought one of these to replace my dead DLink router and was a pain in the ass to setup. The web interface is poorly designed and not responsive at all. Changing one setting often if not always made it stop responding and had to multiple times reboot the router and computers to make it respond again. Overall had good feature with QoS, seems to have good speed and okay wireless signal (haven't lost connection and speed seems to be fast) but like I said previously, very unstable. Will not buy an Asus router again..
