Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:3 year Audioengine warranty does not apply to Canada
Pros:Sounds amazing when it worked. Comment:
Very good speakers when they worked. One day the right speaker just suddenly make "fart" noises when there is heavy bass. NCIX only covers one month warranty and Audioengine doesn't honour the warranty in Canada. So basically I got screwed over and theres no way for me to get it replaced other than buying a new pair. |

Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:Price considered, nothing.
Pros:- Sound quality, accuracy- Build quality- Dual active inputs and RCA output- Convenient USB power- All required cables provided, fabric bags for transport- Banana plug compatible speaker connectors Comment:
Using these as a simple, compact solution for living room music listening. The inputs make it very versatile for any device. These things sound as good, if not better, than a solution at over double the price with a receiver, two good Mission speakers and a powered subwoofer. Had trouble believing what I was hearing. Sound fills a large room very well. Bass is spot on without being exagerated. The "sweet spot" is where you'll appreciate the quality most of course. Highly recommended, especially if you categorize these as computer speakers. They blow anything Logitech (or other similar competitor) out of the water, and I'm a fan of their other computer peripherals. |

Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:It take some space on a table. The remote controller is basic but usefull. For bass lovers, you may need to purchase an amplified subwoofer later.
Pros:Great speakers for computer, games, music and movies! Very good voice clarity. Just the right amount of bass. Comment:
Those speakers are robust and nice looking. They are very good for movies. Listening to voices over bass was not easy on my old setup. The bass is present but it start to dim at less than 50-45Hz. There is no headphone jack but it's better to plug headphones directly on the computer to keep signal quality. There is not auto-sleep mode. You have to press on the knob or use the remote to turn on sleep mode. But I keep them active anyway and without signal, they are quite silent. They do take some place on my table. But it's not an issue for me because i use a very large table with my 32" 1080p pc monitor. They also have 1/4" threaded inserts so you can mount them on speaker stands. |

Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:- Price a bit high, but really a bang for the buck if you purchase it on sale!!!
Pros:- Astonishing sound quality for mid-high frequencies.- Nice sound quality for bass, but it lacks a bit Comment:
Those speakers deliver really great sound quality for the price and can go surprinsingly loud without any distorsion. They can be similar to some KRK Rockit as long as you don't push the power too high (well it's normal). They can easily fill a big room. There's sufficient bass for a normal use, but the lack of subwoofer is noticeable (but I listen to a lot of bass music). What's great though is that's it's really simple to add one in the future.I highly recommend those speakers to any music lover. Best PC speakers I've ever heard and they could easily match some studio monitors! |

Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:-Expensive-Bass can be a little heavy at times
Pros:-Very good sound-Powered USB-Remote control Comment:
These speakers are really good. It is one of the best powered speakers I've ever owned. Very solid built and good sound clarity. The bass can overwhelm at times and wish there were controls for that. But the manual said to break it in first for about 50 hours of playtime. So far it is worth the investment. |

Audioengine 5 Premium Bookshelf Style Powered 75 Watt 2.0 Multimedia Speakers for PC or Mac - Black
Cons:- Might not have enough bass for bassheads.- Might be too big for people with small desks.
Pros:- Very clear and full of detail. You will hear things you never heard before from your favorite tracks.- Loud and I mean rattle your neighbors kind of loud.- Audio input and USB charging port at the top of left speaker for iPods and other portable media players. Comment:
Best computer speakers I have ever owned. Difference is night and day from anything Logitech or Creative has to offer. |
These are indeed nice speakers, but I don't really have much to compare them to, so I can't say much.
