AverMedia Game Capture HD Video Capture for PS3 XBox360 2.5IN HDD H264 USB With Remote Control
Cons:Does not have a record/re-take function yet.
Pros:Performs as advertised, solid working, no thrills interface. Simple to use. Comment:
Was septical at first; just waiting for something to go wrong but nothing did. This little item turned out to be a gem of a product. In live-record mode = zero lag. standard play back mode, you get a small audio lag - not a big problem if you take the clip to the computer. They need to add a function so you have the option to re-take a recording or create a new recording so you don't end up with a ton of blown takes on your HDD |

AverMedia Game Capture HD Video Capture for PS3 XBox360 2.5IN HDD H264 USB With Remote Control
Cons:- component HD doesn't look as sharp as HDMI HD- doesn't allow you to stream gaming footage live unless they update it with future firmware
Pros:+ don't have to plug into pc to record it, saves videos right to usb thumb drive+ HD 720p/1080i recorded footage looks good, much better than my easycap+ allows you to record xbox 360, ps3, wii footage in HD while you play in HD with no slow downs in controls or onscreen gameplay+ comes with 3 in 1 cable to connect to xbox360, ps3, wii+ you can manage and play back recordings on the device and fast forward, rewind, pause etc. Comment:
Easiest device to record game footage in comparison to Hauppauge HD PVR which requires you to plug into a pc to record. |

AverMedia Game Capture HD Video Capture for PS3 XBox360 2.5IN HDD H264 USB With Remote Control
Cons:Not set up for recording PC.Throughput video causes lag on output, which makes anything requiring quick response (games) difficult. No mic input, so no live commentary.
Pros:Would be: External to PC, so with adapter cable it could be used to record PC as well, for cheaper then a second PC with an internal capture card.Throughput means it is recording exactly what you are seeing. Comment:
This is to fill in some missing information, not an actual review. This comes ready to record PS, Xbox, Wii and GameCube.More might be possible.PC requires getting an adapter. This is a throughput device, so it records the input and then sends it on the output. It provides "an almost real-time gaming experience". (Quote from AVerMedia's website)Fair warning that things may occur before you find out they occured... A splitter prior to the AverMedia DVD Ezmaker 7 might solve this, if the splitter doesn't cause a delay. If you don't have a powerful PC, this is something to consider. If you are looking to record PC and software isn't cutting it (join the club)... well, this is something to consider.Which is cheaper:This plus an adapter and a splitter for PC recording?Or, a second PC and an internal capture card?Warning: if you can't see the output from this device, you may not know if it is recording the correctly. |
this is a great product for anyone who want to record game play without the need of a computer but you cant live stream with this product.
