They may not be the best on the market but none have come back to me from customers which is more than can be said for Dlink/Linksys.

Pros:Great Value for the price at $10!What else can go wrong with that price.Setup took 2 minutes. Really Easy!!!Beware of setting up the wireless security, since it is default "disable". Make sure you setup the password or your neightbour will steal your internet. Comment: Great value for the $10 and easy setup guild to flowchart from the paper. Also the CD setup was very EASY. Comment: Nice cheap and well built little unit. The range is limited but thats going through 3 walls :P. Get it if its your first and you want to get used to one.
prtynkd@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 07/07/08	BELKIN F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router Cons:not 'N' Pros:cheap (got it on sale)wep/wpa actually workdecent range Comment: i bought this so i could keep my laptop and htpc updated without using cd's/cables.the telus supplied linksys router would not let me connect my other computers without disabling wep/wpa.(d-link wua-1340) i recently moved and made a switch to shaw, when i saw this on sale at wallyworld (impulse buy and 1500 kms from ncix) i figured what the ... i haven't regretted it. the setup cd worked like it should and i haven't had a problem using the web interface. it lets me do what i have to do and i can finally connect whenever i want without changing security options. i haven't done any 'large' downloads using the wireless nor have had any overheating problems. at least when i check it, it is only slightly warm.this does what i want without any serious burping or farting and for the price i can't complain. i would recomend this as a good, cheap wireless router.

Comment: Configuration is SLOW - the stupid thing needs to reset itself every time you change something, which generally takes about 30 seconds, and every option you're likely to change is on a different page. Crappy interface design, crappy hardware. However, once it got going it was alright.I never had this problem, but one of the other people using the router had their laptop cut off periodically such that they had to reconnect manually. They were in the same room as the thing, so this is not a regular connection issue. My Ubuntu laptop, XP desktop, and Wii all connected to it fine, after I took the half-hour to get it configured.Lastly, it just broke on me after about 9 months. Not cool. I think I've finally learned my lesson about not being cheap about wireless networking - get something that you won't have to replace after 6 months and it will pay you back.

Pros:once setup it works fine, decent range and no dropouts Comment: Overall an ok buy for the money. If you need basic features it will do the job. I had trouble saving settings. I had to save changes many times for the changes to stick and it required many reboots during the setup. I did not use the setup disk it came with, everything was done manually through its browser-based setup.

Both wired and wirelss work great Comment: Got this a week ago when it was on sale for $19. Found that viewing Youtube and downloading large file (e.g. anti-virus update) was impossible because it interrupted frequently although general web surfing and emails worked fine. At first I thought it was just my lack of experience in configuration. 4 days later, channel 2 failed so I had to RMA it. The new one works great, no interruptions, so the original problem was not due to configuration. Once I forgot to raise the antenna, but I found I still could pick up wireless all over my house, front and back yard. Now I just hope this will last long.

Comment: Good value but would steer away if you are looking to use it mainly for it's wireless functions. Drops connections and can cause problems.

I'm actually using it to file, and print share a wired network along with share a broadband internet connection. For the above mentioned wired network (4 ports)it preforms perfectly. When I received router the firmware was outdated, after a quick flash it runs flawlessly. When you toss in the sale price you cannot go wrong. I'll update my post later when I try to connect my Wii.

Pros:+ Inexpensive+ Works well, stable+ Easy to configure Comment: This was in special for 20$, I couldn't not buy it. It works great, the wireless transmission works jsut as good as the more expensive routers. It only does 54mbps but I usually am bound to that speed because the other faster speed don't work well unless I am in very very clsoe proximity to the router which makes it useless to have a wireless connection.

Comment: I set this router up really fast, it comes with a setup CD and it was easy to follow. The speed and functionality is alright and for the price this is may be an option for some.I found that the router drops connection very often, especially in an apartment setting with many other wireless signals. Pros:Very small and light Comment: All around this router is pretty good. Works like any other wireless router, nothing really special accept its very small and it might be a good choice for a newbie since it has a very easy to use setup CD to configure it.
Zarg@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 09/04/07	BELKIN F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router Cons:- Configuration issues with Bell Sympatico Pros:+ cheap+ works so far (I'll update this review if I have problems in the future) Comment: I finally have gotten around to getting this work with Bell Sympatico.If you have Bell Symatico DSL, don't touch that CD (except to get the .pdf manual) and go straight to the advance web setup.Afer creating a WPA-PK key (suggest 20 random letters/numbers key that you write down) (there is NO security by default!) then change the following: - Use dyanamic for Internet connection- Change the Ethernet address to 192.168.0.1 (192.168.0 range) or similar - 192.168.2.1 default is the same address as the Bell router!!!Other suggested changes are:- alter the SSID to four random letters (e.g. ABCD) as by default it says what router you are using.- change to 11g (unless using 11b)- Enable extended range (if need to boost the range)- Can consider to block ICMP pingRating as shown is primarily due to price ($29), and also that it has the features I'm looking for and that it is currently working well.

Belkin is a good brand, and while this may not be the best router around, it works and doesn't have any real annoying issues (unlike some other routers..).

I have it set up nearby my computer and the ps3 is about 17 feet or so away with 2 or 3 walls in-between. As such, my ps3 gets anywhere between 85-90% of my internet connection which is excellent IMO. i had a few problems with installation and had to call telus, belkin, and the playstation company to get it all setup which took me almost 2 hours, a quarter waiting for belkin to pick up. Luckily they were all helpful and understood how to solve it.only concern i get now is that the bottom always feels like freshly boiled water but it doesn't seem to affect it.
Wayne_T@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 06/04/07	BELKIN F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router Cons:Range, finicky Pros:Cheap and small Comment: Works good for the price ($30), but the only time I get the strongest signal is if I'm in the same room as the router, and I'm in medium sized apartment. I can sometimes get better coverage off the neighbor across the street, so range is definitely an issue. I have noticed on a few occasions that the computer and this router have problems getting in sync with each other, requiring a reboot or a little diagnosing to get them going again. This unit is only temporary.
