BELKIN F5L009 Wireless Network USB Hub
Cons:Software utility is a little wonky.
Pros:Extremely flexible and allows access to USB devices from virtually anywhere. Comment:
Great device with both Windows and Mac support. I have this hooked up to the famous Linksys L router and Tomato as a wireless bridge, and have stowed away every cursed printing device that I have in my cardboard box, and have relegated them to the cellar. Even works with a USB scanner. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-08-08 12:49 AM |

BELKIN F5L009 Wireless Network USB Hub
Cons:Only one computer can connect at once.
Pros:Sleek, lots of ports, easy to install. Mac & PC. Comment:
FANTASTIC !! This is one of the top 10 purchases of ever made. (Favourite jacket, combi baby stroller, best cd, sonos, slingbox, belkin hub, etc)You are not truly wireless until you have this device. I have my pc located in my unfinished basement. I couple of cables run up through the wall for my monitor and keyboard and Mouse.I have ALL, absolutely ALL my other devices in the cupboard outside my office, connected to my Belkin Hub. A cat5 cable runs downstairs to my router. This means that my all-in-one-printer, PDA, external HDD's, flash drives, camera, etc are all out of sight. Can't believe that this does not get more press. |

BELKIN F5L009 Wireless Network USB Hub
Cons:limited mac support (said to be corrected in september)
Pros:Easy to use, great interface, cheap print server/nas Comment:
Picked one of this up last week to run a print server and nas on my network. Works great on my windows side, needs a little work my the mac side (there isn't any leopard support yet so somethings are a little odd). |
This is a terrific little device. It handles storage devices and printers very well and you can also connect a USB hub to it for additional ports. I encountered some kind of conflict between the Control Center software that runs this device and Spyware Doctor w/ Antivirus (PC Tools) on Windows XP ... my computer would freeze every time I started the Control Center. Long story short after several conversations with Belkin and PC Tools tech support, I had to remove Spyware Doctor completely in order to use this device. This was only on the XP computer though ... my Windows 7 computer with Spyware Doctor on it handled this device and it's software perfectly.
