I bought this sleeved box for an acrylic setup. This is a nice psu for a htpc I would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap psu, I got it for 29.99 and at that price it does the job well over another same model psu. Its sleeved wich is a good thing for that price. Check it on sale |

BFG GS-450 450W Power Supply ATX V2.2 EPS12V Active PFC 20/24PIN 6PIN PCI-E 140MM Fan
Cons:
not-modular
Pros: High efficiency, Quiet, lots of connectors, Large cooling fan Comment:
I have had this unit running 24/7 for the past 30 days to break it in and have to say I am impressed. The unit while not as fancy as some PSU, is over 80% efficient, has a wealth of connectors and has remained very cool and quiet. You may get the impression from the pics this maybe a modular PS however it is not. This to me was not a big deal as it was going into Folding rig that doubles as a part time HTPC. I got the PSU on sale for under $40 with all taxes so was a heck of a deal. I definatly would not hesitate to use this PSU in another build that required low noise and power needs. |
What impresses me most is that this PSU does not get hot. Always has cool air blowing out of it...although it is powering an i3 on an EVGA H55V with only 1 drive...but still, its not bad. Impressed by BFG, has been a few years since I said that of BFG.
