BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Like others have said it could have been a little finer steps between the voltage increments, Getting it to run AHCI mode was a little more challenging since I'm running XP with this motherboard and the biostar website only has the drivers for when you're within windows, there are ways around it. If you plan on air cooling with a larger heatsink I'd look into one that includes a backplate and bolt thru kit since this motherboard doesn't have any support beneath the CPU socket, Same would be advised for a WC loop.
Pros:Solid stable motherboard, Lots of tweaking options in the bios and a great overclocker. |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:none really
Pros:Overclocks easilyGreat layout Comment:
This is a wonderful motherboard to work with if you're on a budget and looking to overclock. Overclocking is a breeze provided you work your way around the bios which can use a little fine tuning/cleaning. |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Have to use jumpers to reset CMOS.
Pros:Cheap. Mine was $119. Well built. Easy to overclock. Comment:
I have the TP45 HP version. If this is the same as mine but has Raid, then it should be a great board. It runs high FSB like a champ! Overclocking is easy on this board with the O.N.E. feature. Running my E8400 s 4.25ghz with ease on air! |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:-Voltage increments could be a bit better for VCore and VDimm.-A few more fan headers for Air Cooling users would be beneficial.
Pros:-Impressive overclocker.-Amazing budget price. Comment:
Quite a few people have had a love/hate relationship with this board from the reviews I read. There's a couple of quirks of course- there's only 3 (Including the CPU) fan headers though liquid cooling it doesn't matter much to me.Bios is easy to work with and provides a great deal of control for your overclocking. A few of the voltage numbers such as VCore & VDimm could be a little better.Easily took my E8400 to 4.0 Stable for 24/7 and up to 4.7 so far for benchmarking. Absolutely impressed and love this board. |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- Bios can use a little fine-tuning- Jumpers to enable Crossfire- Very loud cooling fan
Pros:- Overclocks easily- Great layout Comment:
This is a wonderful motherboard to work with if you're on a budget and looking to overclock. Overclocking is a breeze provided you work your way around the bios which can use a little fine tuning/cleaning.So far I've taken a E7200 on 1.26 volts up to 3.2GHz (356x9) with no tweaking at all (not enough time to push it further yet).My only other complaints about the mobo is the additional cooling fan that screws on to the heatpipe fixture which is insanely loud and the need to set jumpers to enable the second PCI-E16 slot. Other than that I highly recommend this board for a overclocker. |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- Color scheme (rainbow)- NB/SB voltage sync (makes the sb runs really warm)- Cooler harbor sucks (U-Shaped base and full of scratches)- Audio keeps cutting on and off then dies out.
Pros:- Easy to find max oc- Recovers from bad oc very well- Great layout (except ide)- Onboard power/reset button, debug led/temp mon- Built in Memtest - Auto settings works best :)- Not too many extra shenanigans- Runs a quad really stable Comment:
Tested the board with a Q66 and passed with flying colors. The only problem was the temp of the Q66 when oc to 3.4ghz temps would start to skyrocket. Fsb achieved with the quad was 480fsb with a hefty boost to vnb/vtt at 1.5v ranges. 710 bios was a little bit more unstable than 626 and recovers from bad oc fairly bad. Never had to clear cmos with 626 and with this bios, a few bump in voltages here and there can stabilize the quad easily. The linking of the NB/SB voltage was probably the cause to the audio cutting on/off on this mb (not entirely sure) maybe my soundcard not compatible with this mb. Not too many garbage to disable when you want oc your setup. Hassle free from the extra bloatBuilt in Memtest ensures that your ram oc is 80% stable. Highly recommend this mb. |

BIOSTAR TPower I45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Clunky TPower software.
Pros:Good layout;Nice cooling system;BIOS config makes overclocking really easy. Comment:
I used this motherboard for my first ever Intel build. However, this is not my first Biostar motherboard and I think that I'm slowly developing a loyalty to the brand. This particular motherboard is well laid out, its cooling system feels efficient and the BIOS config makes it really easy to overclock. All I had to do to get my e7200 to 3.6 GHz was to drop down the CPU multiplier to 9, raise the FSB to 400 MHz and put the memory frequency to 1000 MHz. I didn't even have to touch any of the voltage settings. One thing that Biostar needs to work on is its Windows software. I guess it all depends on one's taste but the GUI is, in my opinion, ugly. Also, it doesn't scale to screen resolution (at least not at 1680x1050) and some elements are unreachable (the same thing applied to the software that came with the TA770). |
I've had no problems or hiccups with this board at all, Loaded with great features including Memtest86 within the bios as well as startup hardware monitoring before entering your OSBasically purchased this for overclocking based on many reviews from websites as well as the positive feedback from NCIX customers, I've been running a q9550 at 3.6Ghz and still within thermal limits with an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heatsink during prime95 testing and prolonged gaming sessions.Pretty much my secondary machine as well as gaming box for lanparties and when friends visit, also been using it as a testbed for friends who've had troubles with their PC's to test memory and video cards.
