BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:None
Pros:Easy to set upPricestability Comment:
I bought this for my daughter after being very satisfied with the gigabit version for the last year and a half, (I had to RMA that to Buffalo but the process was swift and painless)Setup was a breeze and configuring all the wireless devices took only a few minutes, since setup it has not dropped the network once.On top of all that it's a small glossy black unit that looks cool. |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:- Software is messy- This revision couldn't be flashed to dd-wrt
Pros:- Good range, strong signal even though antenna is internal- Easy to set-up as access point or as a router- Nice overall looking with glossy plastic finish Comment:
Overall, great router so far. It has been quite easy to install with the old D-Link as an access point and now I got rid of it and installed the Buffalo as the main router. Works perfectly from the basement to anywhere in the house with full signal strenght. |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:Set up would be difficult for non technical users , advanced features confusing to set up
Pros:Very Stable and reliable, Great Price, Small size Comment:
I bought this router on sale and it was a great price for a N router. Reliable, and stable. It would have been a little difficult to configure if I didn't have a technical background but once I had it up and running I have had no issues. |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:
so light that cable weight can easily knock over if standing upright
Pros: DD-WRT pre-installedtiny - smaller than most 5 port hubsfastprice Comment:
We were looking for a replacement to our aging LinkSys WRT64GS and came across this router for $40.Opened it up, marveled at how tiny it is and plugged it in. Up and running in a couple of minutes.Already a long time fan of DD-WRT, the custom setup with multiple access control policies was only a few minutes to complete.Have not been able to try N yet, however, the G signal is stronger than that old Linksys throughout the house and this unit has not had any outages. We have several kids and multiple computers and wireless devices and all work greatIt has twice the memory and twice the processor speed so it should last us a good while. Can't wait to try N. |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:version 2.0 is not compatible with dd-wrt
Pros:Version 1.0 compatible with dd-wrt Comment:
Just a heads up dd-wrt only works with version 1.0new one such as version 2.0 does not work. Please make sure it's version 1.0 if you are planing to use it with dd-wrt. Otherwise it will be hassle for NCIX and you! |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:- firmware is encrypted, see below- 2.4 ghz only, no 5 ghz- has internal antennas so the signal is weaker
Pros:- has wifi-N- low price, especially if you get it on a sale- aesthetically pleasing Comment:
Excellent router with wifi-N capabilities for the price. I got it for 35 during the boxing week sale, but even at 50, it is a good deal. A major benefit of this router is the fact that you can flash it with aftermarket firmware like DD-WRT which adds a lot more features and functions. But beware that the firmware is encrypted on this router and flashing it with aftermarket firmware is not as easy as other routers. Make sure you read the wikis and guides on DD-WRT site before attempting. But once you get it flashed, it is a rock solid. Just remember that flashing with aftermarket firmware will void your warranty.I dont know how good the stock firmware is, I flashed it 5 minutes after I got it :) This review was modfied by poster @ 01-21-10 09:46 PM |

Cons:No Gigabit LAN, router web interface could be more user friendly
Pros:Great wireless performance, small compact design Comment:
This is good value for an N router if you don't need all the fancy stuff (gigabit lan, QoS, Dual-band). For $50 on sale, its a great buy. |

BUFFALO WHR-G300N 802.11b/g/n Nfiniti Wireless Router & Access Point up to 300Mbps
Cons:With stock firmware, only 1 device can log on to this router or it will lock it up good -- a common problem reported on Buffalo forum.
Pros:When it works, it's fast and have a good range with stock 1.60 firmware. Comment:
Got this on sale for $50 just for the N feature. Got it working with my Comstar N USB dongle at 300mbpsRX/150mbpsTX using the AOSS button. If you don't and enter your own WPA passphrase, it will lock the router up AND limit your N devices to transfer at 65mbps or even at G speeds (54mbps). **UPDATE**After this router is upgraded to version 1.64, the problem I mentioned were solved. Very good for the price and good N performance if you have the USB dongle that support 2.4Ghz at 40Mhz bandwidth which mine does. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-23-09 03:57 PM |

Cons:Not standard process for loading DD-WRT
Pros:Verry Fast, Loads of Ram, DD-WRT compatable, wireless N Comment:
Great router, beta DD-WRT firmware available, just google it up. Works great and almost never have to reboot mostly i think to the large amount of ram. Running 5 workstations, 2 xbox 360's, slingbox. Hard to beat features of the router once DD-WRT installed for the sale price of $50. |
Got this one sale for $30. Installed DD-WRT. Rock Solid ever since.
