Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Slim CPU Cooler LGA775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011 FM1/FM2/AM2/AM3
Cons:BeQuiet does not indicate that, on AM3 sockets, the orientation of the heatsink does not take advantage of the 'slim' build.
Pros:Great cooler: quiet and effective. Comment:
On AM3 sockets, the heatsink must be mounted with the fan facing down, as opposed to facing RAM slots, thus preventing high profile RAM from being used in two slots closest to the heatsink. Would not have bought it if this had been explained.Further to this, I noticed that the fan would stop and start according to cpu temperature. My BIOS was set to auto, so I set it to PWM to ensure fan is always running on 12 volts, and now it works fine, slowing and starting, but not stopping. Overall my temperatures are down and my computer is running quieter, very happy with this product.
