This is a great idea for travellers who are concerned about voltage stability ie. grid supply voltage spikes or other induced voltage spikes and the risk to equipment plugged into the outlet. It would appear that a major voltage spike, ie lightning would likely not be arrested, but the locally induced spikes should be suppressed. Overall a good idea especially at the sale price |

Cons:The term "mini" is subjective. It isn't really that compact as I would assume from seeing the photo. It is small, yes. However, as a surge protector that can take 3 AC and 2 USB outlets, I will give Belkin the benefit of naming it a mini device.

This is a really handy travel or just portable wall surge. The additional USB ports are great with other devices like smartphones. Works as it says it does, however, putting a lot of chargers/weight on the device and having it rotated may prevent it from resting at a different orientation other than 6 o'clock. The adjustment itself is locked and the user must press a button on the back to unlock and the twist the connector around to the desired angle. There is a feedback click whenever you reach a 90 degree angle to enable accurate adjustment.I read reviews about this device making a buzzing noise (I have an eneloop charger that does make a buzzing noise while charging eneleep cells) so I was worried at first. Its mini size allows you to carry it in bag along with your laptop. The rotating plug is useful when space is tight. I also use it at home and I could put away the chargers of some electronic devices like my Samsung mobile.However, it would be better if the plug is retractable so that it's more convenient to carry it around. Another big drawback for me is that there's no on-off switch like a power bar does. If I plug it in constantly, the adapter/circuitry inside would consume power even when there's nothing plugged into it. |

Picked this up on sale before the Christmas holidays and it works great. This is very useful for traveling because you can plug in 3 items and 2 other devices that can charge via the USB cable reducing the # of adapters you need to bring along. I've tried charging a MP3 player and blackberry through the USB ports and they worked just fine. The plug also rotates in case you need to change the angle. It is a bit expensive at the regular price but a great deal when on sale.
