Belkin Conserve Smart AV 8-Outlet Overload Protection
Cons:Cord is shortSocket spacing is too compact for wall wartsNot really for PCs
Pros:SimpleSaves electricity |
It's very much for an AV system. It's possible to use this for PCs, but PC equipment generally uses more at socket DC adapters, so less sockets on this are usable as a result. It is very simple to setup. Just plug in your main device (TV or PC) into the green socket and the rest of the system that doesn't need to be on all the time into the grey ones circled with green.PVR goes into the always on sockets at the end.PS. It doesn't conserve power unless you actually TURN OFF the main device, so it doesn't work too great if you have senile people who forget to turn the TV off all the time. There is a slight delay, about 5 seconds, between turning on/off the main device and the rest of the system, so it is not for projectors. The cord is also very short, at around 1m, so you may need an extension cord if your power sockets are far.
