BenQ BL2201PU 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1600X900 Display Port DVI HAS Pivot VA LED Panel
Cons:Sub-par image qualityCheap speakersLow visual range
Pros:Cheap at 140$, USB hub, infra-red eco detection Comment:
The monitor does not give the right image, you can play with the settings but it won't matter, you will miss out on some details, both in high def image and blu-ray videos. I wasn't aware that this problem even existed any longer, my 2 other LCD screens were good quality. The speakers don't have much bass, which is to be expected... The mid are audible amongst the highs, which are clear and loud. There is this retro "sound in a can" feel to this. You won't use the screen with the side-view as in the picture, since it doesn't have the right visual range to allow for a good image. Try with a regular LCD screen by placing it on the side; the image doesn't look right, correct? One part is dark, one part is too bright. It's the same with this screen, they didn't adapt it to side view.My opinion? I'm dissatisfied. I bought it EXACTLY to use with the side screen-view (portrait view) to read text on it and program on my other screen. If money is an issue for you I'd still recommend it. Cheaper than most and large viewing area. |

BenQ BL2201PU 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1600X900 Display Port DVI HAS Pivot VA LED Panel
Cons:- none really
Pros:- lots of screen space but not too wide- Heavy base and solid height adjustment- hard to find 1600x1050 resolution Comment:
This is a great office monitor. Really hard to find the 1600 x 1050 resolution -- the 1920 width is overkill if you don't watch movies and have build-in video (less demand). It is surprising solid with a decent base and heavy duty lift mechanism. Has a "eye" that will blank the screen as soon as you move away from in front... actually this turns out to be very useful. And I use the speakers too as they are ok for just a little sound. With all the features, I can't think of a better office monitor. The picture is good -- I really like it! |

BenQ BL2201PU 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1600X900 Display Port DVI HAS Pivot VA LED Panel
Cons:none
Pros:Adjustable, Displayport, good aspect ratio Comment:
For the price, this monitor has offered good value and serves its purpose well. It is useful as a third monitor, through the displayport connection. The adjustable height stand is also handy when in this configuration. |
I love pretty much all about this monitor except the sensors, I think they are a great feature and they work great too, that's until the room lighting changes. Depending on the day sometimes the monitor adjust to the daylight and dims the screen now that works great but the sensor that knows when to go to sleep and wake up by sensing your presents constantly needs adjustments... But you can just turn the sensor off and let it sleep like any other monitor.
