A dud.
Comment:
It worked fine, right up to the point that it just shut off after two weeks and didn't allow the anything to start up. Bought an Asus M4N78 Pro and never looked back. Everything that was on the motherboard was fine, (CPU, RAM,...). Never overclocked once. Just a dud. |

This board is a definite must (FYI no onboard video - those are useless anyway). the 790 chipset rocks with my XFX 5770 and Phenom II 955 black Edition....lots of features for overclocking. Bios is user friendly and was up to date out of the box......If you are upgrading to an AM3 CPU and don't want to spring for DDR3 this is an EXCELLENT choice. |

Not for the timid

Good working system once properly configured. Be sure to install the Raid Sata F6 install if you want to be able to hotswap. Also using the T series overclock any level causes randon BSOD for me. I tried several different types of memory same results. NO problems whatsoever though in stock settings. Experienced same results with the TA790GX AM3 with DDR3 memory on that model. All in all, a very good system stable system in stock mode, just be sure to run AHCI and install the drivers on install if you want hot swap sata drive capability. |
Good board but if your like me and buy different CPU's and different boards check the specs to match the watt's required on CPU.
