Works like a charm and looks sleek with the all-black individually sleeved cables and black connectors. With each 3-pin connector, there is only the 12v and ground wire, which is nice and minimalist since you wouldn't need the tach wire when connecting to a molex power connector, which is what this adapter is used for. My particular unit, however, has one loose pin in the terminal 3-pin connector; it just doesn't stay in the connector securely and fell out when I first opened the packaging. I know that these pins are fully capable of being removed and re-inserted into connector heads (how else would they be able to be individually sleeved?), but when I tried multiple times to reseat the pin, it didn't stay as securely as any of the other pins in the whole adapter. It still works, of course, so I don't take it as a big issue; I've taken pins out on my own before. Hopefully this doesn't cause any bigger issues down the line though. Bottom line: I'm satisfied, but not ecstatic.

While building another file server with the SC846 chassis, I forgot I needed a splitter for all the fans the case has. In the last build, I used a 1 to 2 splitter and had 4 of them connect to each other. This time, I found this. Using one molex spitter and this, I was able to connect all the fans in the case together. Definitely worth it.

So I had bought a low voltage 7volt and this one work really fine too my fan now going at greater speed and still don't make noises so thats all fine.
