Got these for my first water cooling setup. Since I have clear tubing I am a bit worried about them getting mucked up with growth. The silver coating is supposed to help with that issue so we will see if it is true or not.

At first I was a bit worried that these were a bit of a overpriced hype product, that was until I opened the package and actually saw them for myself. When used with good shiny tubing the effect is breathtaking. Just keep in mind that these puppies are truly massive and will require a generous amount of space to fit.

Using these were easy, with my first step into water cooling this was a good choice to make. Having said that, I had nothing to compare it to except the one barb that I needed to use.The collar of the fitting extends 6.5mm past the edge of the threading. This can lead to clearance issues with your parts, make sure you look into it ahead of time. Nothing specific to these fittings, just compression fittings in general.It should be noted that I used an XSPC Delta V3 waterblock, and the fitting collar extends slightly past the edge of the acetal. This sandwiches the hold down plate between the block and fitting but it works leak free on my first attempt so I'm not holding it against these. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-02-09 09:39 AM
