I bought this printer to replace an old Konica Minolta 2400w. I love how much quieter this is and the shorter time for first page print. Auto duplex is slower than I like but a breeze compared to manual 2 side printing.The printer I ordered was defective out of the box; I took it to Monk Office for repair but it was deemed unrepairable. If you happen to get a defective printer, you will need a case number from the repair service technician if you try to RMA with NCIX. Monk/Brother left that field blank on the paperwork so I ended up calling Brother. One week later, I got a brand new printer! Awesome company and excellent service. |

Bought on sale to replace a lesser printer, using this one has been a pleasant experience so far. Installation was quick and easy. USB, Ethernet and WiFi connectivity are available and we opted for Ethernet. Once plugged in, it was immediately visible on the network and we used the web server to configure the settings (hostname, passwords, etc.). The printer is easily detected by modern operating systems and with AirPrint and Google Print we can also send print jobs from phone and tablet devices. |
