Buffalo TechWorks 1GB 1X1GB PC3200 DDR400 184PIN DIMM Memory for Mac
Cons:Took a month for NCIX to get in and ship
Pros:Works as intended in a certified mac model |
Mac components are always expensive. This was priced reasonably for mac components. The buffalo site has a listing of models this chip is certified to run in. My parents iMac g5 was in that list, and the ramstick runs without issue in it. It had a 256M ramstick in there that came with the PC. This ramstick was added in the 2nd slot in the iMac and the machine now runs with 1.25GB of ram. The iMac now runs a lot smoother. If I needed more Mac ram, this is where I'd turn. It's cheaper at NCIX than at mac specific vendors (but they don't carry this brand/model, they carried kingston)
