Ordered this when I discovered I had no Audio cable for my new DVD drive. It does it's intended job, although best to get this kit on a sale.

These things go on sale all the time.It's reliable, cheap, and it does its job.If you have a window for your desktop, I wouldn't recommended this because it looks boring.

Pretty much what everyone else says. It does the job. I got this when it was on sale for 99 cents, and it's fine enough for that price.

Meh, pretty self expalitory! Works... 40 pin IDE cable, analog audio cable for CD drives. 4 screws. It's mainly worth it for the IDE cable. For 3 dollars its not really worth it, but for 9cents, pfff.

Does what its suppose to do. Good to have around to hook up optical drives but ig you buy a newer dvd burner that needs 80wire you might as well get a rounded cable.

Great to have these around for your optical drives. HOWEVER, the newer 16x DVD burners require 80 wire IDE cables (this is a 40-wire) to burn at the highest speed. Colour is a little blah.

well not much to say about these bought ten of em for .9cents each, i ujst bought them for the little baggies and elastics.....well they are good for the screws, and i can sell them to newbs hehe

Great deal for 9 cents. Useful to have around for extra parts. The cables themselves should only be used for ROM devices as any hard drive from the last 5 years should have a faster interface.

This things are handy and inexpensive. Just make sure you get them when their on sale, otherwise their not worth it.Highly Recommended!

Needed the screws, need the IDE cables, didn't need the CD audio cables. Does anyone use them anymore? Just enable digital CD audio instead.

This was one of those impulse buys where you just couldn't say no. 10 of these for $.80? Who could resist? You never know when you'll need some of these screws or ribbons.

How can you beat this deal? The screws alone are worth the 8 cents I paid. I bought the allowed 10 and paid less than a dollar for them. I'll never be short on IDE cables again.

These are almost free when they're on the weekly specials. The last few times I ordered some I got 80 wire cables instead o the 40 wire ones. Used tons of them from ncix and never had a problem.

Well like everybody else says, cheap price and the screws and audio cable is well worth it. The IDE cables are only for optical drives that are UltraDMA 2 typically. Won't work with faster ATA133 harddrives.Still, can't hurt to have a bunch around just for the spare wiring you can use for electronics/modding work!

It works fine for all CD-rom drives as there are no IDE type drives that need the 80-conductor cable. It even works perfectly fine for most older Harddrives. If you use it in a newer harddrive you will simply be running it it UDMA compatibility mode.

LOOK at the Cable CAREFULLYCHECK if it is 40 wire or 80 wire CableDO NOT USE THE 40 WIRE CABLE WITH HARDDRIVES !!!!!DO NOT USE THE 40 WIRE CABLE WITH YOUR CD-RW DRIVES or DVD-RW DRIVES !!!!!Unless you have an older computer (ie Pentium 1) or an ATA 33 Hardrive.This is to be use with an ATA 33 CD Rom.This cable is NOT an ATA 133 cable.It has 40 wires, not 80 wiresThe extra wires are used for ground, preventing interference. Some Cables have those wires Twisted in pairs. This allows for the higher speeds.BUT, This Cable Only has 40 Wires, and is only ATA 33 !!![ UPDATE ] SOMETIMES you'll get 40 Wire cable !!I like these cables for the simple fact you can use them for electronics. Where you need a strip of ribbon cable, etc...I also used to make "y" adaptors for multiple CD Rom drives.So you can pipe your audio into one internal Line In Connector, if your Sound Card / Mobo only has one input.3 cents for a ribbon cable2 cents for an audio cable1 PENNY FOR EACH SCREW !!Priceless !!!Enjoy,!!!! These things occassionally go on sale for $0.09, good idea to grab a few just in case. I mean, what else can you seriously get for 9 cents? This is pretty basic stuff. IDE cable, the audio connector, and a few screws.

I got these on sale for 9 cents, and with a price like that, you can't go wrong. I really wasn't looking for anything in here but the screws, so everything else is definately a bonus. Very cool to have extra screws lying around.

I bought 5 of these at the end of November, basically because for the price it's worth it not to have to hunt down a spare IDE cable when one needs replacing. I noticed that at least one of those that I recieved seemed to have its central connector facing the wrong side - possibly the reason for the low price. But at least two of them appeared to be ATA 100 cables, so they will probably work with hard drives, as well as CD/DVD drives. In fact I am using one of them on my newly-built Sempron system's hard-drive and have not noticed any disk errors yet. As others have said, for the price it's almost worth it for the spare screws!
