Little case that fits four three.5" really hard drives.Quiet.Love it. Mine came with broken power LED so make quality is so so.But still a great case for a NAS.Non-regular PSU which means challenging to replace if it breaks..? Thanks NewEgg for bringing this case to US. It was challenging to get earlier. Also be conscious that it comes in TWO unique PSU sizes. So pick the one that fits your needs... |

Eye-catchingModest footprintHot-Swap bays (But do you need them?)Screwless optical drive mounting bracket PriceyStock fans are quite loudTIGHT spaceIncorporated riser adapter is PCI.If you require to install a card note that the cable routing in the case will make for an particularly tight install. The four drive SATA cables along with 24 pin power cable will be pressing against it.Case supports four hot swap drives, 1 internal 2.five" drive and optical drive but it is hard to find a mini-itx board with more than 4 internal SATA ports. I bought this case for a Windows Residence Server create. General I'm quite happy with the results. This is a nice hunting case that doesn't take up much space.Case comes with two quite loud 70mm fans. I bought some aftermarket 70mm fans but identified that they had been thicker than the originals and did not match in the case considering that the original fans are already up against the power distribution board. I had originally planned to sit the server on my desk but the fan noise it tends to make in stock configuration is nerve-wracking. I moved it to a different space. This was my very first practical experience with a mini-itx case and motherboard. If you are used to larger ATX cases then operating about in this one particular is going to be a learning practical experience. Prior to you buy this case ask oneself if you seriously need those hot-swap bays. If not then there are some genuinely nice mini-itx case alternatives (PC-Q08) or look at going with micro atx which really opens up your possibilities. |

Smallest hot-swap mini-ITX case I've ever seen, completely designed for a NAS or tiny file server. No documentation included with case. On-line documentation is a generic manual with sections not applicable or even totally incorrect for the case. Advertised accessories are not possible to find. SATA cables too quick to attain ports. Optical drive bracket blocks power cables. The energy brick is large and noisy, and the distribution is sloppily place together. Following 3 months of functioning, the distribution board stopped functioning correctly. It rebooted my server in the middle of file transfers, fried the motherboard's USB 3. chip, and lastly stopped turning on at all. I want I had discovered this out ahead of I installed the replacement motherboard, which it now could also have fried. The proprietary energy provide is a genuine danger. If it operates - fantastic, though it's not the most effective supply in the world. If not, you are locked in to the two-aspect, non-normal solution, and are dependent on Chenbro's technical support, which is sorely lacking, for a replacement. Chenbro's tech support web page is a web form that pulls double duty as a sales make contact with e-mail type. There are no numbers to get in touch with, no options particularly for repairs or RMAs, and no fields to gather any data about the solutions you own.I am regretting this acquire greatly. |

* Very well built case* Super tiny and compact, but nonetheless has room for 4 challenging disks* pretty quiet out of the box* Great for house NAS/WHS create* Chenbro RMA assistance is very responsive when you get a hold of them I have a DG45FC with an E5200 processor. I had alot of situation with powering every little thing up. I had read in other forums that many folks had used this mobo with same TDP processor combinations, so I ended up receiving the very same issue. The moment i put almost everything together, the technique just wouldn't boot up. Soon after testing everything with a spare 450W ATX energy provide AND a 150W PicoPSU, I figured it had to be a energy supply and RMA'ed the case with newegg. The moment the new situation came, it also wouldn't energy up the program. I ended up acquiring to RMA Once again with Chenbro straight this time to replace just the power distribution board and finally everything worked. If I had known I would run into all these troubles i may well have just picked up a 150W PicoPSU and saved myself the headache. I utilised this for a Windows House Server develop and ended up with the following HW:* DG45FC mobo* Intel E5200 Processor* 2x 1.5TB WD Green HD* 2x 500GB WD Caviar HD* 2x 1gb Gskill 5-5-five-15 1.8v RAMAs soon as I got by means of all the headaches every thing worked out seriously effectively ... but getting to deal with numerous defective power supplies seriously wasted alot of time.Soon after running for a couple of weeks, the CPU and Southbridge temperature appear to be a small high, but still properly inside operating range. I will possibly finish up acquiring some aftermarket coolers to try and cool factors down some more. |

a small foot print & a excellent styleeffortless to open insideseparated compartment. Flash card reader is an optional, not integrated!Remote control adapter is an optional, as well.It is almost impossible come across these optional parts.Lots of LEDs. Verify your mb for connections. No PCI slots. I purchased an ATOM ITX mb wǚ sata for this case.An IDE to SATA converter might help my shortage of connections over four HDDs. Nonetheless, I have 1 a lot more for a slim DVD-RW. Feel Far more just before getting this pricy situation. |

Hotswap drive bays w/ backplane, smaller form element, external power supply included. It's the only case I can uncover with this featureset, and it gets the job carried out. Fans moderately noisy, and unusual size makes them difficult to replace. PSU makes a loud hum at times. Cable routing is hard in the cramped space. Card reader and IR selections are almost impossible to come across. Backplane can be a bit finicky about properly seating the drive. None of these are dealbreakers, but it'd be good to have a case with the small facts completed right. I wanted a NAS/HTPC combination, and built a method making use of this case, a Pegatron IPX7A ION motherboard, 2 GB of RAM, and four WD Green drives. Haven't measured power consumption, but it ought to be fairly sensible. Operates really effectively utilizing Ubuntu 9.04. |

Every thing you could want The card reader, PCI adapter and IR receiver are sold separately (I cant locate the IR receiver for sale anywhere!)The energy brick makes noise :(ITX = Cramped case I wish it was somehow smaller and had more drive bays, and its a little wider than the specs listed (It wouldn't fit in my Television stand) |

I adore this case. I built a wonderful HTPC running Ubuntu and XBMC. Got this case mainly for the 4 hot-swappable drive-bays and it didn't disappoint. The case is properly constructed, feels solid and has very good capabilities in terms of hiding some of the underpinnings that I frankly don't care about. Almost everything in the case is very easily accessible. The drive bays slide in and out with ease. It has more possibilities for LEF displays than my motherboard supports, I should put that as a negative... :p I can't uncover the optional IR receiver anyplace! I want 1! |

four SATA drives, Mini ITX. Optical drive. Totally silent. Excellent cooling. Perfect for a NAS or SAN. The "black" version is really "slate" or "Graphite" not black. It has black trim.Cheap connector for external energy supply. Could have at least produced a locking connector.Plastic front is lockable, but you can quickly open it with out the important. There is an expansion card bracket included, but no slot opening on the back for it. Not sure what it is for. |

Smaller, but Quite nicely structured enclosure. Straightforward to dismantle and assemble. Mini-ITX and Mini-DTX boards. And surprisingly quiet, even with 2 fans! Hmm.. Oh well..Possibly the fans are not "silent". :-D I had installed a zotac Mini-DTX, a slim-drive and two.5" HDD for OS, all withing a matter of 2 hours. The front panel removal can be tricky as mentioned by previous posters. I took additional-care to dis-lodge the inner clips, which is a have to if you want the panel clips intact. So far I really like it. I have it running WHS Vail beta. |
excellent case, surprisingly small, gonna stick a zotac h55 in this factor when installing hd's into removable bays, three out of the four bays, i had to force the screws in because they weren't aligned properly. just be quite quite cautious when removing the front element of the case
