I have tried the CM X-Lite and the NZXT Cryo S, but this is the best (at least for netbooks).If you need more air flow, the Cryo S is better. But the Cryo S is way too noisy for me. The U1 only has a 80mm fan, but since you can aim the fan at the hot spot, this actually out performed the Cryo S (2 degrees C) for my netbook (which has a hot spot off the center).The 80mm fan on the U1 is against the common knowledge that smaller fans are nosier. This fan is very quiet and the very tiny noise is a very smooth one. |
Very satisfied with this product qith my macbook pro 13". The fan will cool the computer from 2 to 5 degrees if well placed. I recommend this stand only for 13" and smaller format for maximum control of the fan position.
