This unit appears fairly good, the finish is a semi gloss and textured ( slightly ) the cable are flat and black, effortless to function with mine did not work ... it powered up and created about eight volts on the 12 volt line then quickly dropped to around .3 volts and just sat there thankfully it did not destroy the rest of my technique in the course of action... Silent just like it says. Good cable management for my rig. Consists of rubber gaskets to retain vibration down. Well packaged and involves plenty of cables. powers my program. does not catch fire. modular is good. quiet (at least not noisier than my old PSU or the rest of the technique - fans etc). great cable lengths in my situation (Logisys mid-tower). rubber grommets for noise/vibration damping are a nice touch, while the mounting holes wouldn't line up because of them (I blame my situation, it's had quite a few clearance/lining-up matters in its long and storied background). Be aware that you won't be in a position to plug in all of the modular cables at when, there are four ports for the SATA/molex cables and five of those cables, so you're either sacrificing a string of molex/floppy or SATA somewhere (not that it's been a issue for me, and you'd really need a lot of stuff in your case for it to be a major issue). This may be frequent with modular power supplies, I don't know, I'm just pointing it out. Also only two PCIE cables, so may not be the very best for SLI or Crossfire with cards that need to have numerous power connections each. purchased elsewhere, was in a regional store and had disposable funds and I knew I'd be needing to upgrade my (cheap, cheesy, included-with-situation) PSU sooner or later. Really quite, surprisingly really.Love the flat modular cables, not only could I leave 2 or 3 out but they were incredibly straightforward to route. The power supply cables looked so neat and routed so easy I felt a tiny guilty.... 1st a single was DOA. Nobody likes to get their Computer built out only to "flip the switch" and get nothing at all. Quality control, quality manage, top quality control. Right after going through all the difficulty-shooting and attempting a unique power supply to confirm is was the ps and not one thing else I RMA it and ordered a replacement. I seen when I pulled it out to put it back in its package I heard one thing falling around inside. Like that from the factory or through shipping, who knows. Perhaps not a con but it could have had one particular far more connector for HDs, cdroms, fans, ect. I read reviews where various people today did not like the vibration gasket saying it was a pain to get on. I genuinely did not have that situation. I stuck it on the finish and lowered it into the case and put the screws via. And I had to do it several instances in the course of trouble-shooting given that the very first one was doa. Very Quiet! Does Precisely what its suppose to. Comes with connection cables for about anything you want to hook up to it. Had it for a little more than a month so far. None I would recomend it highly if you have a rapid computer. Plenty of power. I had a coolmaster 500 watt in Laptop or computer just before. Worked great for two years. Burn't out simply because I let dust block the cooling fan. My personal fault:( Make confident to clean each and every couple of months or so based on how dusty your location is.
