IT function some what. This issue is rated to power 2 video cards, however I attempted to power 2 5850s then the issues started out. My method started out freezing, i got blue screens and random shut downs. My system only utilizes 600w however this energy provide can not handle it. I upgraded to a 1000w KINGWIN and have not had a issue sense. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Modular Super Quiet Quite stable Uncomplicated to install. It specs. out just as promised. Took the heat and noise away, restored performance to a q9650 Quad, SLI. Not genuinely a con.. it is beefy. Heavy sufficient that an additional set of hands could enable. The sound dampener was a snap. The power provide is most often more than looked when hunting for random difficulties, and performance laggs. If you have added something to your system over stock you ought to also add additional power. A weak Power Provide not only heats up your situation and compnnents The power provide is most typically over looked when hunting for random complications, and overall performance laggs. If you have added something to your process over stock you need to also add additional power. A weak Power Provide not only heats up your situation and components it can below volt and be unstable. Below volt = much more pull = far more heat = more resistance = more heat = FAILURE.Why waste your income on leading notch parts if you can’t power them properly. When you figure what you want add at least 20% to it as the power supply degrades more than time.Figgure this a 350 watt unit operating at 90% OUT Put WILL FAIL SOONER THAT A 600 WATT UNIT AT 50%.Rule of thumb for a mid power desk prime… 500 is min if you strategy to preserve it for four years, 600 if you load it , 700 if you over clock it, or sli it, 850 just to be certain. If you are possessing random crashes, start off with the power unit if it is stock and a couple of years old.

Great amount of power permits for future additions with out possessing to worry about upgrading PSU. May well be able to come across one for a small more affordable, but possibly not. If you want the cheapest PSU that will function for the present this possibly isn't the 1 you want, but if you expect you'll upgrade your rig at some point in the future will probably prevent you from getting to get an entirely new unit.

The modular cables are freaking amazing. Eliminates congestion inside an tight situation. I'm using this PSU for an HTPC and its really silent. SATA and IDE connector cables somewhat feels flimsy but does the job. Highly advised for HTPC exactly where low noise is important.

-This point is modest! 700w of pure joy. My older, much bigger PSU spit out considerably much more heat than this new CM.- 2x 6ưpin PCIe is great! Molex conectors were kind of difficult to fit into other molex connections, but that is becuase the pins on the connectors (NOT the cooler master's) had been bent, screwdriver fixed that. =D Great value, upgraded from a 620w AeroCool to power my new GTX 280.

none that i know of... DOA, sata and molex cables are flat and not inclosed in mesh. missing outter sleeve of packaging and newegg will not issue a refund. i dont understand, its a DOA product, not as if its going to be repackaged and shelved. I'd even take a fair repackaging fee ON Best of my 12$ return shipping fee..come on newegg, spent over 500$ with you and i get customer service such as this... :( Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer, We apologize for any inconvenience. The cabling on that power provide is, for the most component, flat and black. It was not developed to have mesh braiding on the cables with the exception of the fourƲ connector and 24 pin connector. If the energy provide is DOA, we can replace it with no problem under the five year warranty by way of the eRMA link beneath. Looks nice minus a single thing (read cons), didn't run into a single issue during install not even with the rubber isolaters, flat modular cables great for my older case. Powers every thing just fine. Even although the modular cables are flat I would've liked them to have the net as properly, I knew it going in but it still tends to make the modular cable Look low cost. Also if you have a case with lots of sharp edges the netting could help. Operates great, effortless and clean install.Process SPECS:-AMD PhenomII x3 740 unlocked to four cores-Cooler Master hyper 212+ cpu cooler-Gigabyte 880ga-ud3h-4gigs of Mushkin Blackline ddr3 1600 at 7-8-7-24-1t-2x 500gb Western Digital re3 tricky drives in raid0-This energy provide-Powercolor hd3850 (know its old but I don't game on my pc, nevertheless may well upgrade soon)

Modular. Quiet. Effective. I overclocked my core i5 from 2.6 to 3.33 with this issue - just pumps appropriate along, a lot of power to spare for the video card. Did I mention modular? Just the cables I need, absolutely nothing far more. so far, so very good. Only issue is the length of the power cables - MB cable as well long for some chassis, modular cable also brief for some applications. I put this in a bigger chassis, for which this is ideal. In one thing like an ANtec Sonata 3, the motherboards cables (not modular) would be also extended. In the larger case I've employed, the SATA power cords (modular) are a bit too brief. I have not checked to see if any longer cables are available. Both of these are modest difficulties.

Tiny, quiet, runs cool. The modular cabling is incredibly great and makes wire management in my case a breeze. I had it suggested to me to acquire the finest powersupply I could afford for my new build and I cannot be additional pleased with this 1. Runs a GA-P55-UD3L, intel i5 overclocked to 3. GHZ and a eVGA GeForce 9800 GT 1 GB, and two hardrives with ease. I could quickly run far more effective graphics cards in an SLi setup if my motherboard would let it. Motherboard power cables could be slightly longer(to accommodate my case: HAF 922) despite the fact that I created it function. It also looks anemic in my case, but once again that is my fault for wanting such a huge case You want to obtain the very best power provide you can afford if you are thinking about creating a new machine. Even even though this supply is overkill for my setup I am glad to have it and really feel secure that I don't have to be concerned about it failing on me.

WORD OF Guidance.....By no means, EVER SKIMP ON YOUR PSU WHEN YOU ARE Constructing NEW OR UPGRADING, Often Investigation YOUR Components POWER Requirements AND YOUR RIG WILL Remain STABLE. I think these units are tested b4 thry leave the factory for flaws

Cooler Master net internet site publishes a lot of superior information to help you pick the proper provide. This is incredibly quiet, and has rubber mounts even although it doesn't need to have it. Modular cables make it nice to for a neat interior. None genuinely In a complete size ATX case you might need longer cables. I broke 1 SATA power connector that was hard to plug in. One twelve volt power rail may appear like a con but if you distribute your wiring correctly it actually isn't.

--Relatively quiet, its in the bottom of my case, and I have a ton of case fans, so they drown out any noise the PSU makes. The Flat Modular Cables, have 1 thing to say about them --Love THEM, so much much better and easier to work with than the classic ones, makes for superior airflow in the case if performed appropriate. Will only obtain a modular one, two PSU's ago was modular, final PSU wasn't.. so quite a few cables I just had to start tucking them in random areas in the case... Modular just soo much cleaner Only 2 PCIE connectors... most graphics cards these days want two... I utilised an old card and in no way strategy on SLI or Xfire just trigger of the demand on the PSU and the heat generated from the additional card, so its okay with me.Wish there was a larger assortment of cables, see beneath Have a lot of cables, but at times on these modular ones, I seriously wish they would give you the normal cables, but then on top of that a couple of single ends of varying length, there is often 1 random fan or a thing that I want a Molex for that happens to be in a weird spot, and I finish up having to use a full cable and only plugging in that one fan to it, then have to do some thing with the additional 500ft (exaggeration) of cable slack....

Modular cording, rubber ring for vibration reduction is cool. The cording can be a bit stiff, but works. The rubber ring for vibration reduction is a pro, but fitting it on can be problematic until you figure out how to get it to stay on so that it can be placed in the case. It isn't tricky, it's just not something to slap on. Appear it over prior to you start off and you'll be fine. I've owned PCs for 15-16 years, but this was the very first time I built/put one together. I did enough study to know I wanted a modular PS and now I have a considerably better understanding of why it works so properly.
