CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons: - could use a few more drive connectors - didn't come with corsair case badge
Pros: - very quiet (almost silent) you have to put youur ear next to it in order to hear it, but who does that? - long cables Comment:
so far, so good.judging from some of the reviews from before, this might not have been the best power supply, but if you get a good one, it will last. I like this power supply, and so far haven't had any problems. Corsair is awesome quality and never fails to impress. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:mounting holes were slightly off or the holes were on the case
Pros:great budget PSU Comment:
great modular PSU. i wasnt concerned for having great cable management so got this PSU. i dont know if the mounting holes on the PSU were slightly off or the mounting holes on the case were slightly off but the last screw i put it was at an angle, i tried many times to get all the screws to go in nicely but regardless of the many methods and positions i tried in the end one of the screws went in at an angle on the PSU. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:fan slightly louder than expected
Pros:small size, sufficient single rail, 80 plus certified, adequate cable length, sleeved cables Comment:
purchased this to replace an old enermax 350 unit that was powering a budget FX build (4100/8GB/6450 video). The fan seems to be noisier than that of the enermax (which had dual 80mm fans). Other than that, the unit powered without any issues and the pc has been running 24/7 ever since. This is a nice and compact power supply that allowed me to keep the bottom mounted 120mm intake fan inside the cramped case. Cables have enough length for use in a mid-tower case but the 8-pin (4+4) motherboard connector may be too short for a full tower case with a bottom mounted PSU. Overall still a good budget power supply from corsair but definitely not comparable to the TX and HX series that I have on my other machines |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:none
Pros:price, reliable, good brand Comment:
I bought this for a budget build for a family member. 430w was plenty for the hardware being used. No issues installing, worked right away when hooked up. The selling point was the low price. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:- rated at 30C (bit low, but it's cheap, so I can overlook that. And it's been tested well)
Pros:- fits the needs of the build I was doing to a T- sleeved cables- relatively small- PM'd to just under $40! Comment:
This is a neat, pretty well built budget power supply. The cables are nicely sleeved, which adds to that neat and tidy look. The length of the cables is perfect for a mATX case and design. There might be issues for people using larger cases, but it was perfect in the mini P180 that I installed it in. It is relatively small in size, which makes it very easy to install. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:Constant coil whining
Pros:Working as intended! Comment:
This power supply is working perfectly, but unfortunately, I keep hearing this constant coil whine/buzzing noise from it.. And since I'm one of those people who'd rather have something "silent", it can get on my nerves sometimes! As a comparison, I don't hear anything from my Corsair TX750, so it's probably not related to the brand!Next time, I'll probably purchase something a little bit more expensive, or maybe some other brand!EDIT: While writing this review, I had some doubts, so I went ahead and put my ear next to both Corsair TX750 I own.. and to my surprise, there's this identical coil whine/buzzing noise. Maybe I didn't hear it since they are in a full tower case with 6-7 fans running! But from what I read, it's not -necessarily- a defect. (Been running one for 2 years, and the other for a couple months)But since I'm using this Corsair CX430 in a mini-itx case, with barely 2 fans (silent).. I can hear that annoying buzzing noise. I'll probably purchase some other PSU brand eventually and keep the CX430 as a backup or something. And by no means I'm saying Corsair is making bad products, Corsair is making really reliable products, but for me, I think I'm going to try out some other brand next time (Hopefully something silent!) |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:Lack of 4-pin molex connectors. (only 3)
Pros:Looks great. Silent. No problems with power output quality. Comment:
Performance wise, it works great; no issues with the power output. Can't hear it at all.Unfortunately, I need lots of molex plugs. (I still have lots of good IDE drives.)I'll have to buy some adapters & splitters. But once that's done, I'll be a happy camper. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:None at this price
Pros:Good little PSU for a simple build Comment:
Got on sale for $34, nothing to complain about at this price. I usually judge general quality by weight of the PSU this is a "mid weight" PSU by my standards. Picked up a 600W mushkin for the same price and it was much lighter than this corsair indicating to me a better quality product at the same price. |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:None
Pros:CheapCorsair Comment:
If you're in the market for a cheap but yet good power supply, look no further. I first bought it for troubleshooting purpose, but after some tests, I simply swapped it with my older OCZ Silver 650w. Not only does this PSU run much quieter, it is also more than enough for any low powered computer (ideal for my HTPC/file server). It has been running for about 3 weeks non-stop.If I really had to mention a cons, it might be the low amount of SATA power connectors. Only 4 is not that much for a file server, but hey, you get what you pay for on some points! (Plus it has a molex adaptor for 2 extra SATA so I'm not really complaining)!!For 35$ (on special), this is a no-brainer! |

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W Power Supply
Cons:Cables could have been better wrapped.
Pros:Good construction and fairly quiet. Comment:
First time buying a lower cost psu from Corsair. Seems to work fine in a low end build. Good for the price on sale. I really don't like the nylon wrap on the wires that is used on most psu wires. It seems so cheap. I think they should use the textile type of wrap, so you can't see the wires |
