CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Comment:
The TX950 is 1 of Corsair's more current CWT DSG power supplies, and it's a incredibly high good quality unit. Although the rest of their lineup is merely midrange and slightly overpriced (very overpriced in the case of the HX1000), the TX950 is extremely competitively priced, truly outperforming the HX1000. I contemplate this one of the finest bang for the buck ӭkW power supplies Nicely there was the issue with Asus mobos, resolved. Otherwise only thing that could improve it is modularity. Y'all bickering about the A+ cert... You're both wrong. Yes, the A+ extends beyond just cleaning printers, but it's still the lowest, least considered personal computer cert about. Also, power supplies are a matter of electrical engineering, not computers. You could know all there is to know about the internal workings of a CPU or graphics card, but if you can't tell a half bridge topology from a resonant double-half forward topology then you can't claim to be a energy supply expert.

Feels incredibly good, packaged quite nice, good cables. Didnt function with my ASUS crosshair three motherboard...I ordered a second p/s and it did the same thing? It just pulses and makes the mobo do weird factors.....My small business with corsair has come to an finish. Im extremely unhappy with corsair at the moment, my ram has always been excellent, but the compatability issues that ive read about make me wonder about their power supplys...I bought a smaller Antec power supply 黊)and now my computer works like a charm. Manufacturer Response:This issue has been identified and resolved by each ASUS and Corsair. ASUS can replace the motherboard and the dilemma will be resolved. We are sorry you had an problem.

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Comment:
Lot's of cables and lots of power. This power supply is running my dual HD 6870 machine and stays quiet by means of long gaming sessions. It's been running for 4 months now and I'd really feel very confident overclocking the i7 950 in the machine I bought it for. Plenty of overhead for me to upgrade the GPUs down the road as well. I wouldn't suggest it for single GPU machines or tiny cases. It's not modular, so the amazing quantity of cables that it comes with have to get applied or get hidden. Second Corsair PSU I've owned. Pleased with both. This unit is meant for full tower instances and sli/crossfire setups. It's unfair to complain that this unit has too a lot of cables if you're running one HDD, 1 GPU, one optical drive, and a couple of fans in a tiny case. There are much better possibilities out there for those setups.

Very Good cost for the amount of power you are acquiring. Corsair is a terrific firm and a pleasure to function with. Regrettably, I am getting serious stability complications. I am running a 780i F.T.W mobo with a pair of GTX 260s in SLI. Everytime I play a 3D game the computer will reboot inside 2 to 10 minutes of gameplay. I have double checked / reconnected all cables... When I put my old Ultra 750 LSP back in...no problems. The PC runs fine for hours with no trouble. This only takes place when the 950w is installed. I may well have gotten a lemon. For the gentleman who has "Awesome" in his description, it is fairly rude to tell people to shut up when they give an honest assessment of the product. And no 1 cares what certifications you have. I too am getting some problems but nonetheless hold Corsair as a high favored firm. I am merely giving my encounter with the item. I am really trading this one in for an Corsair HX850.

It has two giant fans and they are quite! I liked this case mainly because of the red light. I know what red does for the eyes in the dark since i'm a pilot. Individuals are saying its large and it is, but its a great searching case. None! Acquire the case.

Wonderful looking power supply. Gives enough energy, to my existing method. it isnt modular... Aside from it not becoming modular, this power supply is incredible. Lengthy cables, ALOT of cables. Every thing i need is obtainable to be powered whenever i require it.Program is Antec 1200, Intel i7 920, 6 gigs corsair dominator, p128 ssd, WD black 1tb, THIS PSU, Venemousx, and like the million fans that are in the antec 1200.

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Comment:
It works quite nicely with my Asus p6x58d motherboard. It's incredibly quiet and delivers enough stable current to run my computer system (core i7 930, radeon 5770, 2 sata2 drives). Caused my previous motherboard, the gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r to make unbearable screaming noises from the cpu socket. Apparently this is a prevalent issue with that motherboard and is produced by particular brands of psu (seasonic, corsair, other people). I doubt this is the psu's fault although, the ud3r is a pile of junk.Unless you will be employing this to run some giant mainframe, you will probably have a lot of loose cables. They are not detachable, so be sure to have a superior case and be ready to do some cable management.

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Cons: Maybe defective unit, but it squeals a lot and that is very annoying... just like the review below mine...

Pros: Good power output, Corsair is famous for its quality...Price isn't bad on sale
Comment:
It works fine but gives out a squealing noise that is very high pitched and very very annoying... It seems like I am not the only one having this problem...Might be a defective unit, but I doubt I would buy the same one; I will look into a different power supply. Like the person below me I spent a long time on cable management (as it's not modular and has a LOT of cables; but you get it cheap compared to modular) just to have to take it out again... I would rate it as one star but not sure where order ID is on the receipt ( i bought it in store). In summary I wouldn't advise this power supply...

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Cons: - Mine squeals really badly

Pros: - It's cheap and 950W
Comment:
Honestly I'd like to rate this product as a 1 star, but I understand I might just have a faulty power supply. I spent a good hour and a half working on cable management and now I've got to take the power supply out.We have a 750W TX Corsair power supply downstairs and it works wonderfully. It's a shame that this one squeals, as I won't be picking up a second one (I don't like trying my chances on the same thing twice).

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Cons: None really, it does everything it needs to do and comes in a velvet baggie... What more could a power supply do for me? It's not modular but to be honest I couldn't possibly care less about having modular plugs on a power supply... Cables aren't hard to hide and modular plugs add nothing but cost.

Pros: Runs quiet, runs cool and provides more power than even a higher end PC would need so there is plenty of room for future upgrades.
Comment:
I've needed a second PC for awhile now, with what I do having 1 PC just wasn't cutting it (especially when that PC needs to be running 24 hours a day) and in narrowing down what I wanted for this new computer one of my first focus areas was the power supply.I'm not sure how other people shop for power supplies but in the past I've often burned myself by going too cheap, or not leaving enough headroom on wattage. In the past a number of my computers have hit a point where the upgrade path stopped and I needed to change architecture, this is only natural but at the same time the power demands of more modern systems had slowly crept up over the years, 200w power supplies just don't cut it anymore for mid-range systems, heck even 300/400w are pushing it when most modern systems have gigs of memory, multiple hard drives and a couple of video cards... plus whatever else you want to cram in... This time around I decided I would aim high for my new system and buy a power supply whose output far exceeds my demands (at this point in time anyways) without stepping into the realm of complete absurdity as far as price was concerned and this was definitely the unit.If looking solely at price per watt there may be some cheaper alternatives out there but quality makes all the difference in the world when it comes to power supplies, if you aren't sure what I mean by that just think of it this way... This little box is what is providing and filtering the power to every component in your system and if it is cheaply built and has flaky performance every component in your system will get "dirty" power, be weakened and eventually fail long before it is due to... There's a very good reason why you can buy a computer case for 30$ that comes with a 400w power supply... Those power supplies are garbage and if you're lucky they die in a few months, if you're unlucky they die in a few months and the dirty power they fed your system leading up to that damages your whole system.Quality is important on a power supply and the Corsair TX-series seem to offer an above average quality for a below average price, I hadn't been able to find any bad reviews online with the exception of 1 or 2 customers complaining about a lemon (these can happen with anything) so for me there was absolutely no negatives about this unit, I know some will raise the issue of it not being modular but you have to be REAL nitpicky to fault a power supply for that, for one thing you aren't paying for it and for another, what kind of case do you own that you can't hide a few excess cables? In every single case I've owned there is always some solution for hiding unused cables... *shrug* If you don't care about "modular", aren't inviting everyone that sets foot near your computer to look in the window at how awesome your cable management is and just want a power supply with a good price, massive overhead for expansion and a quality level that means this power supply will likely outlast the next 3 computers you own this would be the one to go with... I know I did. :)

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Cons: very stiff cables, LOTS of cables to hide, 5v and 3.3v not as solid as 12V line

Pros: Silent, long cables, lots of power, stable 12V rail
Comment:
This is a great unit. I always had Seasonic PSUs and this one is replacing an S12-600w in prevision of a 480/5970. I finally got the 5970 (not 480 hot and loud POS) and its sailing along fine at 900/1200 with heavily OC'ed quad, 8gig ram and 4 hard drives. 12V doesn't move an iota even under load. Very solid unit.

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950 (CMPSU-950TX) 950W Power Supply
Cons: a lot of cables for connections

Pros: price, silent, 6 - 6/8 pin pci-e connections!, power
Comment:
Wow. Even the packaging is amazing. This thing is dead silent and has over 70A on the 12 volt rail. Huge fan, nice looks, sale price was awesome, connections galore! If your not in the market for a modular power supply, this is a great price...50 dollars cheaper than the 1000watt version. Reviews around the web are excellent everywhere. Even the cables are sleeved all the way into the unit, which is small for such high power. Will buy again, highly recommended for gamers.

Corsair 950W
Comment:
Product works perfectly. There are a LOT of cables including 6 PCI-e cables so your really need a Tower or Server case. If you have a smaller case you can buy one of the Corsair modular power supplies. Fan is whisper quiet. If you have a NVidia 8800GTS or newer video card then I recommend more than 650W. This power supplies fits the requirement.

Good Product
Comment:
I have had this unit in service for a couple of weeks. All is OK right now. Seems strong and is silent. All in all, I would recommend spending the extra bucks and go with a modular unit. Much less to deal with ref to extra cables and much neater within the case. If I had to do over I would go with a modular unit.

I'm happy
Comment:
I tried to buy the PC Power Source and Supply 920 W Silencer, but after 2 weeks was told that that it had been discontinued. It turns out that it isn't as silent as advertised; the Corsair 950 W is quite silent, however. The fiber coating of the many wires is nice, and the price is quite right. I am very happy with this purchase, and the price was right. Highly recommended.

Good Bang For The Buck!
Comment:
I was impressed with this power supply from the moment I took it out of the box and felt how heavy it was compared to that of other power supplies. The fan is extremely quiet and powers my Geforce GTS 250 perfectly with no issues. Having the large amount of 12volt current is a huge plus, especially when you're building a outstanding system. This single rail technology is in my opinion better than that of the multiple rail technology, due to the fact of current limitations and having to worry about which rails to put components on. Besides Corsair makes a really good quality power supply that is built to last, in my opinion.

Corsair is great for PSU's I purchase this a while back to replace a PSU that was just not strong enough. This was just what i needed runs my custom rig great and is really quiet and cool. Plenty of cables for all my future needs. When i took it out of the box you could tell this was a sturdy quality product. it has a very nice rough black Finnish that looks great. the amount of cables can be slightly overwhelming to hide and route, but over all this PSU is amazing.

Nice, but did not work with my Asus Mobo!
Comment:
Corsair makes solid power supplies, but this one did not work with my Asus motherboard. I was able to boot to bios and I was able to begin installing Windows 7, but then the computer would freeze. After a week of painful diagnosis, I swapped out the power supply with a Corsair HX1000 and it worked! I didn't suspect the power supply, because the computer had power and would boot to bios. I've heard other people having problems with Asus mobos and the Corsair TX line of power supplies. Oh, and cable management will be an issue - this thing has A LOT of cables! The HX is more expensive but it is modular (but not single railed like the TX).
