Rugged.Quickly. Bought in Could. Died in November. Blue LED flashing non stop. None of my house nor workplace computers will recognize it (PCs and Macs).Numerous folks reporting identical difficulty. Not a good sign. Sent for RMA. Due to the fact I only use this stick to transport data in between computers, practically nothing is lost, so will give the replacement stick a likelihood...

The greatest characteristics are the following:it's detected as a "fixed disk" which signifies you can a)partition it, b) clone it, and c) use to drop and retrieve photos from outside windows ex. working with correct image you can plug it in boot from the acronis bootable disc and you see it in the list of obtainable drives. Also it's incredibly quick. This thing is HUUUGE... so I had to return it. I'm acquiring the mini version and hope that it has the identical features as its Giant brother. The cap can get lost incredibly very easily but this is the case of most flash drives. It's extremely rapidly.

Rugged, and a lanyard. Study Speed is 32. No cap loss protection. (little detail) Not rather 28 write but mine is 24. 32 is up to requirements. My old flash drive form sandisk was 12 study and four create. Just a horrible drive. I have been quite rough with this thing and so far it hasnt glitched. No file loss or anything. I work for an IT department. I have ghosts pictures on here and everytihng. Good stuff overall.

Higher study/write rate ྼMB/s / 25MB/s avg. respectively) when formatted to NTFS below HD Tune Pro. Large size. "Is that a flash drive in your pocket are you just happy to see me?" This will happen.1st one broke, sent away for a new one particular and came back within a week. This thing genuinely is substantial, please consider this just before getting the drive. Other than that, it is an exceptional drive; the quickest I've ever had.It comes formatted in FAT32 so if you are going to move substantial files (> 4GB) around you will want to change the file format to NTFS. FAT32 limits you to a file size around 4GB.

good speeds as advertised when it performs Losing all my information from a USB exactly where it was moved to so it could be kept secure...As im starting to see alot of, the unit goes poor! following two weeks of use, it just wont function.. it doesnt get recognized in any operating program. Windows management can see it but not access it.. I think corsair desires some revison changes in this model. Hopefully it wont take another 4 weeks for an exchange like they did a handful of months ago with some memory (PS, they tried to pass off some inexpensive substitute for my broken dominators, when thier policy cleary states exchanges EQUAL OR Far better!)....Man what occurred to Corsair?

Amazing speed. Quickest I've worked with and almost exciting to watch do it's point. Quite good lanyard. Rubber coating is higher good quality and offers wonderful protection. Quit working right after only 3 days. Flashing LED wouldn't quit and Pc wouldn't recognize it's factory installed partition. Showed up as a MB removable disk. One particular nit picky con is the overall large physical size. The super massive capacity of 32GB much more than makes up for this gripe. Worked flawlessly before malfunction. Attempted various techniques for a fast fix but ended up returning for a replacement. Option to a talked about difficulty of no holder for cap is to squeeze cap into metal d-ring that secures lanyard to the clip. This worked for me in maintaining the cap secure when the drive was plugged in. Easily a full five stars if only devoid of the malfunction. May well want to format this drive yourself before use. Some people complain speed wasn't as advertised... they may well not have plugged straight into Computer. Don\'t forget, you won't get complete speed plugged into a widespread USB hub.

Physically rugged. I got a single of these as a gift initially and quickly ran into a bug in their firmware that below non-perfect circumstances will lead to the devices to brick themselves. By non-ideal, I mean like accidentally pulling the drive out without having safely ejecting it. There is a forum post on their internet site in which I've been trying to get the situation solved, but as of these days, they are just being argumentative and attempting to displace blame to the users. Manufacturer Response:I have searched and I cannot identify your forum post. Please refresh your forum post there at the Corsair forum and ask for Yellowbeard (me). We'll be pleased to replace your drive.

Fantastic transfer rates both read and write as far as flash drives go. 32GB is plenty of storage us to retailer lots of tools, drivers and pictures (this was utilised for tech assistance purposes, the images had been ghost pictures). Not made of titanium to survive the back of my chair swinging into it and snapping the USB connector off. I'm here to buy a replacement. I'm not frustrated with the brand at all, I don't know considerably that would have survived that. The product was almost everything it claimed to be. (Note: format it NTFS for bigger files).

Huge capacity, sturdy, rubber makes it anti-slip, lanyard and USB extension cable are fantastic additions. Cap fits genuine snug. Speed is superb. Making use of it on Win7 64bit with no issues at all. Its Corsair. kinda massive, but what do you anticipate, its 32GB. Looks nice and may be accidentally pocketed by passer byes :P I could have bought two 16GB Corsair flash drives for ฟ much less. Nonetheless, the 32GB stick has a more quickly transfer rate. Some folks complain about its size, but honestly its not that massive. Picture a full sized Bic lighter and then add a USB connector to the tip of it. That is precisely its size width, length and depth; virtually identical.

Really quickly. Definitely the fastest write speed I have ever owned. I use the Nirsoft USBDeview speed test and the Voyager GTR is double the write speed of my 32 GB Voyager GT. Not really up to the 28 MB/s as advertised but close adequate for me. The Voyager drives are fairly rugged and if you use reasonable care with them, they will last. Size is an problem. It's 4" long. But in a typical pocket or purse, it fits fine. The cap fits snugly but of course when off, there's nothing to avoid you from misplacing it. I have an "obsession" (although some would say challenge!) collecting flash drives, with speed and reliability getting two biggies with me. The Voyager series has the reliability and the GT and GTR are rapid (with the GTR being by far the ideal.)

It is rapid and formatted size was 30.2 GB. Utilized it for portable apps and applied daily. Also employed it to backup profile on a everyday basis and had five MB/s to 6 MB/s speeds using robocopy. Died soon after 1 month of use. Like the activity indicator light began to blink continuously and the computers (tried on numerous machines) all saw it as a device with out a disk in the drive. Corsair doesn't give any help to repair, they just want to replace it. Did uncover a tool, but this shrunk the size to a small over 29 GB and mucked up some other settings in the firmware. I am at the moment in course of action of acquiring a replacement. I would prefer a refund, but it is as well late for that.

Fast drive and very good searching. Always enjoy Corsair's rubber armour coating as this protects the drive very well. Huge 32gb capacity. Only one I have is it's size. This is a really large drive, a lot bigger than I was expecting. I have other Corsair flash drives and they are high quality drives as I'm sure this one particular will be.

Comment:
The Flash Voyager GTR is the subsequent iteration of flash drive above the Flash Voyager GT. Whereas the GT utilized dual-channel flash memory, The GTR utilizes quad-channel flash memory (At a extremely reasonable value when compared to the OCZ Rally2 Turbo)-As soon as this hit my doorstep I had my benchmarking setup to read the speeds of the drive. The flash voyager GTR hit its' advertised speed of 34MB/s read immediately.Create quality is rather superior. The yellow sections have an intriguing texture that makes it much less rubbery than the black section.-Drive is really lengthy, about 4 inches. Nevertheless, they managed to preserve the width down enough so it isn't a major hassle fitting it into a usb port. However, it is still rather thicker than my old Rally2. Although the cap holds fairly well now, I am certain that it will put on out sooner or later and 1 day I will be missing it. It would have been nice to have a little string to attach it to the drive so you couldn't lose it.Throughout benchmarking, I managed to only get a 26.4MB/s write speed out of it. Although, it is nonetheless far far quicker than any other flash drive I've owned, such as the 16GB Rally2 I have. The other reviewer claimed this drive was slower than the Flash Voyager GT. I'd like to point out that this is the next generation above the GT, and they are about 2x as quickly (in terms of write speed). This drive definitely deserves at least 4 stars.-I have not tested to see if this drive was waterproof like some other evaluations on other internet sites claimed.

Big capacity, handy form element. Extremely slow. I've waited for 10 minutes to transfer only a couple of megabytes. Don't have this dilemma with any other drive. Even when the transfer appears full from Windows, the drive continues to operate (blue LED flashing) and can't be undocked for several minutes.

It is good to have the 32 Gb capacity. Item case appears to be solidly constructed. This product does not live up to the speed claims. Corsair advertises, "The new GTR utilizes quad-channel architecture to deliver read speeds of up to 34MB/s and write speed up to 28MB/s." I am searching at the back of the package my drive came in and it says, "MIN: 34MB/s (Read), 28MB/s (Write)" My 32GB GTR drive benchmarked out at Read 28.4, Write 18.7. On the Corsair forum, an additional user posted benchmark readings of Read 31.9, Write 20.1. It depends upon your intended purpose for the drive. If capacity is your primary objective, there are other possibilities for about half the cost.I purchased this drive for the speed. I run most of my applications as Portableapps from my thumb drive. That way anything runs the very same regardless of which Pc I am running on. I was running out of space on my 4 GB Lexar Lightning drive, so I decided to invest in this drive that advertised speeds far above what I am at the moment getting from my Lexar Lightning Drive (Read 29.five, Write 22.5). Needless to say, I am disappointed that this drive is slower than what I at the moment have. I may well keep it due to the fact it is 32GB capacity, and I don't want to eat the 15% restocking fee.If you would like to see the my benchmarks for this drive, do a Google search on "Corsair Voyager GTR HDBench" and you will come across my posts on the Corsair forum.

rapidly read/write speed, 32 gb... This unit was purchased just over 3 months ago and has just lately "crashed". Even though the high transfer speeds are good it is useless if it can not deal with the heavy load you would assciate with a 32 gb flash drive. I will maintain you guys posted on Corsair's service in handleing the matter. Also if you are seeking for compact this is not the drive for you. This is not a dilemma for me, the truth that it doesnt perform nonetheless...

This is the fastest flash drive I have ever utilized. It's so rapidly, that it even beats my USB and Firewire tough drives for transferring files.I use my drives for transferring files, as well as running modest diagnostic apps directly from the drive when repairing computers. Here's what I got from this drive, compared to my subsequent fastest drive, a mainstream model from a quite respected brand.29MB/sec write for 1GB Mpeg movie16MB/sec write for a massive batch of tiny files (zips, documents, and all my open source apps)My other drive, didɈ.6MB/sec for the movie file2.6MB/sec for the batch of tiny filesThat's much more than 6 times quicker. Unbelievable! Also, the cost can't be beat. Older high speed drives that stopped at 8GB capacity still sell for as substantially as this drive. This GTR has 4 times far more capacity, and even additional speed than the previous kings of USB drive speed, and there is incredibly small cost premium to be paid, compared to other "normal" 32GB drives. This thing is enormous. I was not at all prepared for how large it is. It's a full inch wide, virtually as long as my Blackberry at practically 4 inches, and thicker, too. Also, the cap is just waiting to get lost, but Corsair will give you new caps if you just fill out a form on their website, so I'm happy. I cannot think that this drive has such a low score Ɠ stars) at the time of this writing. I definitely hope the score picks up soon, due to the fact the drive is far far better than a 3 out of five.If you truly realize how file systems work, and the way that computers procedure data, then you will appreciate the speed of this drive at all times, even when it is not writing at a full 28MB/sec. It's just the way things perform. You will see the similar kinds of slowdowns when writing small files to any sort of storage device.I build and repair computers for a living, and I depend on drives like this. This drive is going to simplify my life so much, by giving me a drive that is rapidly sufficient and massive adequate that I can cease carrying about my usual handful of drives and just have one that does each job better.

I had purchased this drive to replace my recently deceased Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB SLC. The same drive that I had bought in 2002, washed in the washer various times, had to fish out of a toilet (don't ask) and even ran more than with a motorcycle even though backing out. That drive lasted 8 years following all my abuse so I stuck with Corsair's rubber exterior once more. This new drive, though a small huge, is well worth the cash. With realtime transfer speeds of about 28MB/s write and 34MB/s read, it gets the job carried out so fast and saves tons of time. Due to the fact of it's design, it can handle my abuse yet once again, although getting utilized around 5 times a day quickly. This drive is slightly bigger than the prior GT models and is not one of those you'd stick in your car's new radio player with USB support. But of course, everybody has said that. What I can say, is that it's not uncomfortable getting in my pocket, sitting, standing, walking about, etc. Yes it is bigger than any other drive I've ever noticed, but it does not have an adverse effect at all on carrying it or putting/getting it out of your pockets. Stick with Corsair... I've tried the rest and Corsair is the finest!

This drive is amazingly quickly. I have employed other usb flash drives ahead of and this thing blows everything else away. I compared it to my regular Corsair Voyager and my Cruser Titanium drives and was extremely impressed. Transfering a 650MB file on my Cruzer took 1 minute and 3 seconds, though the normal Voyager took 1 minute and 9 seconds. On the Voyager GTR, the file completed transfer in 36 seconds. The case is quite rugged and I have used this thing day-to-day with out problems. The Corsair Voyager GTR is massive. It looks like a supersized hornet. I was hoping that it would not be considerably bigger than my typical voyager, which I keep on my keychain. I now put this on my lanyard rather of the keychain. Honestly, the GTR is wonderful but if you want a drive that has a rapidly transfer rate and something that you can put in your pocket, your finest bet is the Voyager GT. It's considerably smaller and just a little slower. If you don't mind the size of the drive, then this drive is best.

Its 32gb and the rubber coating. Terrific if you keep it on a important chain. Slow takes me all night to write 2 to 4 gig files. I can not watch these movies off this usb key have to copy to the challenging drive. With my old GT or plain voyager none had any troubles. I will take my chances with the cheaper and smaller Corsair merchandise. I got this as a replacement for my Voyager GT (Red Model) I sorely miss it. It served me properly for the two years i had it.
