I bought this to connect a pair of cheap headphones from a home theatre receiver (already had the 3.5mm adaptor) so one of my family members could watch TV without turning the system up and vibrating the house. It worked, but I can't vouch for sound quality because you don't get much out of $14 refurbished headphones anyway.
