wireless usb should act like a cable!

Comment:
The transmitter and reciever should act like a cable, and need no driver except the driver for the device you are connecting to, i.e.. a printer. Plug the printer in first, then the computer, with the computer on, and the computer should see the printer as if it were connected by real wires.... doesn't it work that way? Big question to me is speed. that is implied by the stated usb1 compatibility.

Seems to be a good product, the problem is I am running Win 7, and so far have not been able to make it work. So...I put it up for a time and will try to get drivers for it soon. If I wanted to spend the time, I could probably make it work now, but I am in no hurry....got it more for a toy than anything else!
