Very pleased - immediate benefit
Comment:
I purchased one of these to test for a conference we are hosting - it will allow us to avoid running a long vga cable to the projector from a laptop for the presentations. It worked through a 12 inch thick concrete wall at a 15 foot distance. The boss was so impressed, he told me to order two more. They will be arriving this week.

Good product
Comment:
We purchased this for our church, and it works well within the 30 ft, as long as nothing obstructs between the connectors. I had no problems with the software on our laptop with Vista. Certainly better than having to deal with the long cable that would have been our other alternative.

Not great
Comment:
We got it to work on vista, but performance is spotty. Frequently the screen goes black, and we have to unplug and reinsert the plug to get image to reappear. Direct line of sight 10 feet away, and often the refresh rate is pretty bad...jumpy mouse cursor, jerky motion. It works, but we'd like better solution.

Don't buy this!
Comment:
1. The fact that the connection must be line-of-sight should be, but is not told us in the description. Regular radio waves wouldn't require it, but tech support says, it's some fancy sort of radio wave, something ultra whatever. However, in practice I didn't find it necessary. 2. Hard to set up. There are 2 icons that should be in your taskbar: the Wireless USB Manager, when you connect the USB part and the Wireless VGA Adapter, when you plug in the other gizmo to your monitor. However, the latter doesn't show up every time and I had to reinstall the software several times, until it did. Their software is obviously buggy, which is unacceptable. The moment I plug in the VGA part, it should pop up every single time, not on the 3rd-4th try, otherwise don't put it on the market! 3. Doesn't work with Vista, because my Vista won't activate a 2nd monitor. CTG tech support doesn't know the answer and they don't work with MS, because it's their competitor. What a lame excuse!

I use it at Church, up 30 feet maybe more!
Comment:
this is a great product! it wasn't made to give signal through walls! it has to be at sight from to receive signal, don't block it or you'll lose signal for sure! I use it at Church, about 30 feet or more and I don't have any problems.

don't even think of buying it
Comment:
It is hard to set up, the distance advertised is far from true. As the other reveiwers have said, it is lucky if you can get 10 feet not the advertised 30.If thru a wood wall it is barely 4 ft. I am going to try to return it.

This product would not work as described. Had to go back to our old system for a recent presentation. Will be returning the product.

works as described
Comment:
The system puts my computer screen up on a 55 inch HDTV. My only complaint is that the range seems to be short. If the computer is on the other side of the wall it doesn't work. In the same room at 10 ft it works well

Good product
Comment:
I have used this product in many schools with little to no issue. The only issue is the connection can fade in\out but this is easily corrected by unpulgging and reinserting the USB end, or establishing a line-of-sight connection with both TXs\RXs. Would recommend it. BTW most TVs, projectors, LCDs have a female connection so dont forget the M\M VGA cable!!

Cables To Go 29572 TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit
Comment:
This product is terrible. I can't hold a connection with my TV for more than about 30 seconds. My connection is only about 10 ft apart and it can't take it. Even when I do get a connection it's very sporadic and lags. The product doesn't have the proper connectors either. If you look at the back of any TV it has a female connection, so does the system. You have to go spend another 20-50 dollars to make it happen. NOT WORTH IT
