Cables To Go CRIMPING TOOL W/ RATCHET RJ11 RJ45 CTI
Cons:The wire stripper isn't the best
Pros:Works as published Comment:
I got sick of having a jungle of wires in the back of the server rack at work and decided to build my own cables. This crimper works well. The only thing is the wire stripper has a tendency to cut into the cable as well, but that's probably my fault and pressing too much. Would recommend it. |

Cables To Go CRIMPING TOOL W/ RATCHET RJ11 RJ45 CTI
Cons:
None
Pros: Good qualityEasy to use Comment:
I crimped my own cables for the first time using this tool. I just watched a couple of you-tube videos to see how to do it. It was pretty straight forward and the more you do the better and faster you get at it. It is nice to have cables just the right length now instead of miles of extra cable getting in my way. The only thing that could have made it better is if they included standard wiring charts on the side of the tool, but now I have it memorized. lol |
Making your own cables is cheaper and cleaner than using premade cables. This crimper does the job, but mine initially would not crimp hard enough to make a solid connection. Even adjusted as loose as it would go the stripper blade would hit the other side of the tool and prevent a solid crimp. Once I ground down that section of the blade the tool works great.
