Did not work
Comment:
Once I plugged my mouse and keyboard USB cables into these, it was like the devices didn't exist. Could not get my computer to recognize. Was hoping to free up some ports for my internet cellular connection, but that failed miserably. Don't waste your money. |
-IMPORTANT- Your keyboard or mouse needs to be USB and PS2 capable in order for this adapter to work! If you're trying to use this adapter in a KVM situation, your USB keyboard and mouse MUST be PS2 capable. If you're using this because your PC doesn't have USB ports (seriously?), then buy a 10-dollar add-in card for USB and skip this device. How will you know if the kbd or mouse is PS2? Well, unless you can get the manufacturer to give you an answer, you won't. A hint: Newer USB keyboards and mice WILL NOT work. Just about anything made after 2008 would fall into that category, unless you purchased a keyboard or mouse that CAME WITH these adapters in the first place. Caveat emptor.
