When not on sale, there are cheaper places to find this cartridge. But if it's on sale, NCIX seems to be the best bet. I find refilling to be the best solution for this type of cartridge, though. Overall, you're kind of stuck when you buy printer ink. |

It's a black ink cartridge, if it doesn't work you either put it in wrong or have an incompatible printer. It has decent capacity for the price, and Ncix has a good price for it when on sale compared to retail outlets.The only thing I'm not impressed with is Canon's attempt to force us to re-purchase new cartridges by not actually detecting how much ink is in a cartridge (should it be refilled) but simply how many sheets it has printed. The printer can be reset to erase those records, but it shouldn't have to be this way. |

Cons:- If used too often will not last- If used to print photos, forget it, won't last- For some, 3 months isn't enough compared to "laser" ink
Pros:- Lasts about 3 months- Quality- Wide Compatibility- Official brand "Canon"- Cheap compared to competitors- Small, lightweight, nice looking cartridge- Cheaper than color Comment:
Overall, a "normal" product that it's considered as a "must have" since you've got no choice if you wanna print |
On sale you can get this for a fantastic price, and it's the real deal too if that matters to you (ie. genunine, not a "compatible" 3rd party unit).Inkjet still sucks in terms of $/page, but this is probably the cheapest you'll find this cartridge.
