Canon PowerShot SX200IS Digital Camera Black 12.1MP 28MM Wide Angle 12X Optical Zoom DIGIC4 3IN LCD
Cons:None to worry about for me.
Pros:Fast On LCD. Sale Price. Size. Capabilities. Comment:
Like the first review I too did much research. Don't get hung up on the few negatives you may read on some major review sites. This camera is a big bad boy in such a small package. If you want quality shots with the ease of fitting this in your pocket, this camera is for you. I would consider this a dummy proof camera with the ability to go further with custom settings. It has so many plus features. Also the sale price is the cheapest in Canada. My opinion is that it does not look cheesy like some clones out there, it has a design of it's own and I think it is classy and elegant and really feels good when handling it. If you do your research, you will see that Canon and Panasonic are on top for this caliber of camera. |

Canon PowerShot SX200IS Digital Camera Black 12.1MP 28MM Wide Angle 12X Optical Zoom DIGIC4 3IN LCD
Cons:Some manual features took some time to get used to, but similar to other Canon models. A bit on the bulkier side if you want a pure point and shoot
Pros:Ncix with their Sale of $350, great price, no PST, Over $80 cheaper than next lowest retailer.Awesome camera. Best bang per buck if you want something close to an SLR with the more compactness of a Point and Shoot12X Optical ZoomCanon Optical StabilityBattery Life is GreatMANY Manual options, easy to adjust Shutter Speed, Apature, Etc.Fairly compact, considering what it can doNice Beautiful large LensGreat Concert Pictures, once you get the setting figured outAmazing 1280x720P Video Quality (Buy an 8/16GB SDHC Card) Comment:
I spent time deciding on what kind of camera to purchase took a while. It was between this Canon SX200IS and the Canon SD780IS. That one is small and compact, and I mean small. The Reviews on it were Amazing too. Plus about a hundred bucks cheaper. But this baby has 12X optical zoom, a large lens, and many easy to use manual features. The reviews on this camera were great. Of course having 3 spare batteries that this camera used also helped in the decision process. The 780 has a smaller battery. In any case, I couldnt be happier with this camera. Great hybrid between an SLR and a Compact. |
I am not big into photography so asked a friend for advise. He also purchased this camera, different vendor, and loves it. Very easy to use, the auto mode works quite well. I haven't had a chance to mess with most of the settings, however it is a way better than the Sony Cybershot (5 years old) that it replaced.
